Could anyone advise me on my inverter settings in regard to

  1. Bulk charging voltage (CV voltage) -  present setting 56.4 v
  2. Floating charging voltage - present setting 54.0 v
  3. 3Low DC cut-off voltage - present setting 42.0 v

I have recently installed a 5kW Mecer inverter and am familiarising myself with the settings that are available, all the while with the objective of caring for my batteries as best I can.

I have a bank of 4 x 200aH VISION AGM batteries (see below) and I refer to setting N0 5 (Battery type) in the inverter manual which of course is set on the default AGM and as a consequence settings 26,27,29 are also set on default HOWEVER I notice that if setting 5 is set as 'User-Defined" then 26,27,29 can be set by the user.

Can anyone improve on the these 3 settings to improve on the care of the batteries

Thank you - still learning!

This setting will depend on if you cycle your batterys or leaving them charged.

This will depend on setting 1

This to me is very low. I will hope you never ever reach that point. The lowest I set a cutoff on most inverters is 46. This prevents the inverter form switching off when a big load is switched on while the battery's are low, but still I never want my batteries to get close to that voltage.... ever.

Hi Jaco, thank you for your response !

I guess I'm part cycling the batteries and want them as fully charged as is practical if that makes any sense. Need your advice please!

Setting one is referring to 1 above?? Bulk charging voltage?

The DC cutoff voltage I will increase to 46 as you recommend.

Thank you
