Axpert King 3K issues – Inverter or battery fault?

Featured Replies

Hi.

So what is the best settings for the Omni Power 240ah 48v for the king inverter 5kva?

Float: 55.2v

Bulk Charging Volt: 58.8v

Max charging amps: 40a

Back to charge volt: 49.0v

Battery cut-off voltage: 48.8v

Back to discharge voltage: 0.0v (ful){in the book it says full} hmm?

My system is the 3kva 24v, but I wouldn't want the settings I used if I were you (doubled to get to your 48v), because my batteries didn't last more than a year :)

What program are you using here to change settings on the Axpert?

oh. I have battery balancers from Victron Energy on my batteries.

I would use middle of the road figures, unless you are changing the settings for summer and winter values. So 54.8 V float, and 58.2 V bulk/absorb.

I note that your effective back-to-charge voltage is going to be 50.8 V, or 12.7 V per 12 V module. That would keep the battery quite full for load shedding, at the cost of not making maximum use of solar power. See FAQ #2.

I would guess that 0.0V is equivalent to FUL; slack programming.

would you leave it on 0.0v(Full)? or 55.2v

Myself I would use FUL, if the goal is for the inverter to go to battery mode only once float stage is achieved. You can only set the back to discharge voltage to whole volts.

I've previously owned an Axpert inverter and loved it.

The axpert king is an absolute dumpster fire.

If you dig deep enough you will most likely find it never fully utilized your batteries, or damaged them on the opposite end of the spectrum.

R60k lesson learnt.
