Hi,

As of late I seem to be missing huge chunks of data on SEMS portal.

I connect via WiFi fine to the inverter, so it is not the Wi-fi.

I connect to my CCTV fine when away from home, so my internet at home also looks fine.

All I can think of is that with our slow international speed, some data gets "lost"?

Anybody else have the same problem?

Thanks.

My understanding is that overseas connectivity has been restored, though I still notice poor performance on some sites (usually social media, which may be a policy thing).

I initially had a lot of problems with connections to the portal. This was solved in December with a firmware upgrade. Since then my connection has been good, but I now suspect the portal itself.

Look at this

Suddenly on the 7th I used 370+ kw/h in a day? I think not. I do keep an eye on the portal some of every days, and if I'd seen that kind of draw I'd have been on the phone pronto.

I'd like to find a way to interrogate the inverter directly and build my own database.

Well... when I started investigating this, I could determine that there was always a connection between the inverter and my router. The problem seemed to be that nothing got sent over that connection.

As I said, that's fixed now, but sometimes it seems to me that portal loses data on occasion, or just goes crazy. There's that nice "Energy statistics" widget that shows how much PV you've generated, how much of that you used and how much you bought from the grid. That seems to reset at some point each afternoon. So I think some of the problems are to do with timezones: It's midnight in China, therefore it's a new day everywhere.
