Hi guys. I am moving to a new house and found this mysterious device mounted next to the electricity meter. Can anyone tell me what it is and what it does? It says Zellweger Uster ZE 22/1 on the case.

    It's a ripple switch. Used by the utility to remotely turn off or on a load, typically your geyser. No longer in use in Zimbabwe and I guess likewise in SA?
