paulsabatier Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 What is the acceptable Earth to Neutral Voltage in a 3 phase 400 Volt workshop/office installation? The UPS supplier wants 2 Volts AC max between incoming Mains Neutral & Earth. The substation is located 130 meters away and the cable is under concrete & tar. I have not been able to establish whether an earth conductor is connected to both ends or are they relying on the armouring to complete the earth. Quote
Kalahari Meerkat Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Earth is a local thing, you should not rely on the earth coming from the power utility company, neutral should be bonded at your end to your electrical earth spikes, which obviously also connect to your db and thus to the rest of your electrical infrastructure. Thus the Voltage between neutral and earth should end up being 0V or certainly way less than 100mV I'd suggest. Quote
