Morning Guys, i am pretty new to the forum here and just installed my first solar system. My home. All has been going very well except for 2 batteries. My system consists of 

4x pylontech US3000C

Victron smartsolar 250/100

Victron quattro 48/5000

Victron cerbo GX to communicate between everything.

 

When i first commissioned the system, i didn't check the DVCC option on the cerbo GX. I believe this let to a high voltage event on two batteries. I have since corrected the problem and the remaining two batteries are operating flawlessly, controlling the charge controller and quattro as expected. However, two batteries go straight into alarm mode as soon as i try and power them up. With the buzzer. I have tried them individually with no external connections still the same issue. I have ordered a cable from centurion solar that should be able to communicate between the pylontech's console port and my laptop. I will then attempt to find out what went wrong using batteryview. 

 

My question is, has anyone experienced this? Is there any chance of "resetting" the unit? Or is it likely going to need a replacement board of some sort? If so who can i send it to? Should i try and return the unit under warranty or is this not possible?

 

I thought that the pylontech's had numerous protection systems in place to guard against this sort of fault?

Did you solve the problem?
Sounds the communications between the Cerbo GX and Battery is a problem!

Sounds like those two batteries need a hard reset by the reseller.

Hello out there,

we just experience the same issue with two new us2000c in our Solar Boat Project with Victron EasySolar (charger/inverter) and ColorControl GX.

The firmware version and/or settings on the Victron side allowed for too high charging voltage and both pylons are now locked in alarm mode (red light and buzzer).

Our supplier works on a solution with the Pylon importer, but he suspects the bms boards need replacement.

I‘ll update you when I know more.
