Pylontech US3000 and US3000C compatibility?

RobG it makes sense, but now I understand even less. My US3000C's charge volts were at 53.2V from the start. It was NEVER higher than that. I instead adjusted it to 52.8. At 53.2V and 52.8V, the batteries still went into protection mode.
I was at an electrician's installation the other day which gave a problem with the inverter not charging the battery with AC. The problem eventually was that the inverter blew a fuse on the AC input. He has a 7.2Kw inverter with one US3000C. His battery's charge volts were set at 56.4V and it ran like that for a while. After I set it back to 53.2V there was still nothing wrong with the battery and still runs fine. So now I do not know anymore🤦‍♂️

Good morning to you,

I'm new to the forum and need help please. I have a 5Kva Mecer inverter and a US3000 Pylontech with an ICC. I added another pylon tech but it's a US3000C. The US3000C is the master and all the connections are done correctly as specified. The US3000's Link Port 0 goes to the US3000C's Link Port 1 and the ICC is in the Console Port. The US3000C goes into protection mode at least once a day and then switches off. Is the US3000 and the US3000C compatible with each other? Furthermore, the ICC also does not show the US3000 battery, but only the US3000C.
Can anyone give me advice please?

you need to get a new cable from ICC. it has a different connector. Make sure you balance the batteries before joining all together.

So my 3x Pylon3000B's Firmware was way out of date! v1.3 updated to v2.4. I never knew they had firmware and don't know where to check ..

It was picked up at Segen and I took them all in for update

I connected a new 3000C as master with new ICC cable and all working as they should.

Hi, I would contact Pylontech and ask for help. Maybe your battery is faulty like mine was. Contact Jeff([email protected]) he was very helpful.

You could also try to do a firmware update to the US3000C. My first one that was giving problems was Ver 1.5. The replacement battery that I got was Ver. 1.8 and was working fine. I since got new firmware from Pylontech Ver. 1.9. I used Batteryview 3.0.23 to upgrade mine to Ver. 1.9. I used the attached PDF guide.

Hi, not sure if your issue was ever fixed? There was a problem with the firmware of the 3000C batteries. I had LONG meetings and fights with Pylontech directly. They fixed the firmware a month ago...

You need to flash the batteries with V1.9 - all issues should be fixed then.

Sorry for digging this one up from the grave. Came across it by pure coincidence and started reading. I had 2 x US3000C and installed a third myself, but never knew about balancing the batteries until today! At the time I just put it in and hooked it up - which was the instructions from the supplier. Is it in any way damaging? Been running for over a year now. Went and checked now and my 2 OG ones are on 5 dots and the new one on 6 when SoC is around 88%, so definitely off kilter. Thinking to switch off everything tomorrow and balance them. Can one still do that or is it too late?  Then as for firmware does it require special software or just a laptop and setting some IPs? I'll go google that tonight.

Thanks!

They will be fine. The problem is when actually installing the new one as you can get large currents.
