May 1, 20215 yr Good Day, I have voltronic VM3 5Kw inverter, it start to disconnect output for 5 sec and reconnect it Do this 3 to 4 time then remain stable for whole day ,I service in detail but make no difference Kindly suggest what will be the issue

[ Edit: in your appliances / loads, not internal to the inverter. ] Do you have fault recording on? Can you see any faults recorded? Does it turn on the red fault LED when the output goes to zero? It doesn't look that way from your second photo. You seem to have a full battery (per the crude SOC meter) in the second photo. What is the battery voltage when the output goes to zero? May 2, 20215 yr Author When output goes to zero battery is full 54 volts, Load is constant and under limit One thing is serial code of inverter automatically changed now it's not it's original serial number as stated on side sticker I think it's firmware corrupt need reflashing

That could be causing the disconnects. If you are using the direct-to-BMS cable (I don't see one in the photo), then perhaps a later version of the removable display firmware may control the battery voltage better. You say it's changed, so that sounds unlikely. Was the control board changed at one point? New control boards have to be programmed with the correct serial number. Is the new serial number all 5's and 3's, starting with 553555... ? This indicates a "blank" or unprogrammed serial number. That is most unlikely to be caused by firmware corruption; the serial number is stored in an EEPROM chip on the control board.

I have an Axpert 5KW/4KW invertor that shows this "blank" serial number and consistently drops out from the WatchPower monitoring software to the extent that the laptop computer with the monitoring software needs to be restarted. Could this blank serial number be the cause? The same computer was used to monitor a similar setup with a Mecer labelled 5KW/4KW Axpert inverter without any problems except taking longer and longer to collect and graph daily data. Sunnie

I doubt it, but I guess it might be another way that Voltronic "get back at" the clone manufacturers (who often point their customers to Voltronic Power's Watchpower to control their inverters, having paid nothing for the development of that software.

Other than the fact that this drops off line from the WatchPower software regularly there does not appear to be any strange behaviour of the inverter. Is there anything that would need to be done to register the control board and would it be possible to update the firmware on the system to one that is more friendly to LiFeP batteries?

Quote and would it be possible to update the firmware on the system to one that is more friendly to LiFeP batteries? Depending on the model, you could update to the LFP flavour of patched firmware.
