HeinTheTerrible Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Hi guys Paid my schools fees so I need to recoup some cash. Going to add more panels and these units wont be able to handle the extra load. I have two Microcare 20A LED charge controllers. 5 weeks old and they are registered with Microcare for their 3 year warranty. http://microcare.co.za/products/mppt-charge-controllers/10a-led-mppt/ R1700 each or R3200 for both. I'm based in Port Elizabeth. Quote
Guest Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Welcome to MY world ... been there, done that and have the T-Shirts by the dozen. Are you going the 'other' V-Blue this time round? Quote
HeinTheTerrible Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 Hahaha! Ordered a Renesola Replus 60A unit from The power store. Let's hope it works SilverNodashi 1 Quote
Guest Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 FWIW, 2 weeks ago I bought a Victron MPPT 150/35 controller with 4 years of warranty still on the clock for R3200 - on Gumtree. Quote
HeinTheTerrible Posted September 22, 2016 Author Posted September 22, 2016 Any takers at R2800 for both? Quote

Ironically a client of mine needs to charge 40A, but I'm not sure how well the 2x 20A's would behave on a single battery bank. How is / was yours configured? Quote
HeinTheTerrible Posted October 18, 2016 Author Posted October 18, 2016 Sorry, completely forgot about the ad. Traded the 2 x 20A units for a 40A unit at Microcare! Quote
