June 1, 20215 yr Hi All and Thank you for excepting me on this forum. Please if somebody could help me with a schematic drawing? Need to get my head around this. I Need to install 12, 365W Solar panels on a 5Kva Inverter. Herewith the Inverter and Panel specs. I need to know how to connect them in a "Series-Parallel" connection. Many Thanks, 5Kva Inverter Inverter Mode: Rated Power: 5000VA/5000W DC Input: 48VDC, 117A AC Output: 230VAC, 50/60Hz, 22A AC Charger Mode: AC Input: 230VAC, 50/60Hz, 35A DC Output: 54VDC Max. 60A, Default 30A Solar Charge Mode: Rated Current: 80A System Voltage: 48VDC Min Solar Voltage: 40VDC Max Solar Voltage: (VOC): 145VDC Panel Specs: Panel Details: Nominal Maximum Power: (Pmax): 365 W Optimum Operating Voltage (Vmp): 39.8 V Optimum Operating Current (Imp): 9.18 A Open Circuit Voltage (Voc): 47.2 V Short Circuit Current (Isc): 9.75 A Maximum Series Fuse Rating: 30 A
June 1, 20215 yr this is series This is parallel , not so long ago I was new .... Edited June 1, 20215 yr by RyanG to many same uploads, sorry
June 1, 20215 yr Series , adds all the Watts , parallel adds all the amps and keeps the watts the same (namely volts) a better picture. Searched google for solar parallel and solar series for these picture, Better explanation of Parallel

I have the same panels and tried them as 3S4P but ran into problems (on a similar inverter). Changing to 2S6P solved all of that. Edited June 1, 20215 yr by Calvin

If yes, then the MPPT will derate above above 115V (if I remember correctly, but you should be able to find that in a post somewhere here on the forum) In that case, 2 panels in series (2S) in a string and 6 strings in parallel (6P) will be the best as per @Calvin above
June 2, 20215 yr Author Thank You Everybody for your answers. This is an Axpert yes. It also seems to me to go the route of 2S and 6P.
