LBSA Lithium Battery

Featured Replies

HI Guys,

Just wanted to put this message out there for advise.... Does anyone have a Victron ESS setup, using a Lithium battery from LBSA? I have a ESS setup and was using the system with lead acid batteries for months with no problems. I thought I would upgrade the battery to Lithium... now I have a charge problem with this battery. I have set all the settings as suggested using ve configure. Bulk/absorption  56.00V /1 hour, float 54v. I am using the BMS from the battery to control the charge and DVCC is on and the rest off as suggested,  If i use the battery till about 80% SOC, then go back to mains, charging is normal, bulk till about 98%, absorption till the battery is 100%, then the inverter will jump between bulk and absorption at random, no set time to this and never goes to float... is this normal? Then with the battery at 100% it will drain till about 95% the next morning, "no power failures", once the BMS detects 95% SOC it will start the same process again... If I look at the battery details on the GX, the battery charge state is "blocked"  because the battery is at 100%, should the BMS then not comment the inverter to go float and keep the battery at 54v? Does anyone know if the battery is full compatible with Victron?

thanks
