The battery was eventually removed and sent for repair. Getting it back next week. When they fetched it the tech said this is not installed correctly, that the fuses should pull out with the plastic covers. Is this safe?

When I press and hold the front button for a few seconds it turns off. But then a few seconds later it turns on again. When the installers came to change something they couldn't turn the battery off this way. They had to unscrew a panel on the top to access a switch. Might add it's been making a buzzing noise for a few seconds each day and lately a click sound like a trip switch. Is this normal or is the unit faulty?

I don't have a garage. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom is not an option. Only option is outside and I'm not keen on that. We will hide it behind a stylish screen or large wall hanging artwork so it won't be visible. Noise is the major issue.

I've been told the 5kW Sunsynk has fans. Looks like I'm going with 2x6kW Solplanet ASW6000H-S2 inverters. Bit of an overkill but certainly future proof. Has a ten year warranty.

Hi everyone, My first post. I'm ready to pull the trigger. Got R200k to do this. I don't have a garage so the inverter/battery needs to be installed in the house. It's a small two bedroom house so the DB is in the living room, that will be the best place to put it. Other than that there are two bedrooms and a kitchen which aren't suitable. I've been informed that most inverters, like the Sunsynk, have cooling fans that can make them quite noisy and that won't work in our living room. So I'm looking for a silent/quiet inverter. 5kW is not going to be enough as we want everything on the system (we do have a gas top on on our stove) so it needs to be 8kW. I've been told of Goodwe but the 8kW apparently is high voltage and those batteries are scarce/expensive/rack-mount (I don't want a rack in the living room). Also been told of Solplant but the largest is 6kW. Also been told of Alphaess but that's 5kW. So... please let me know of 8kW silent hybrid inverters for which batteries are available in SA at a reasonable price and are wall mounted. Thanks in advance.
