  1. I have the same error 57 which has happened previously but it eventually went away and everything worked fine. Now it is back and I have had to connect the ac input to the output therefore bypassing the inverter in order to have grid power. Any updates on this issue?
  2. Apparently error code 57 is a Current Sensor Failure but I have no idea how to resolve it?
  3. Hi, i have a 5kva Mecer Model name: SOL-I-AX-5M (July 2015) and I get a error code 57 after relay toggles for a number of times, then goes to this error (57), so bypassed the inverter and switched it off as I could not get the inverter to work with this error, any ideas?
  4. Okay the BMV702 is a battery monitor device, as I found out by googling it. Now what can the problem be with my Inverter? Another question is, can these units be tested as I would hate to buy another one only to find out there is nothing wrong with the one I have? Last question, I promise, if the unit is faulty/irrepairable do I go for another Axpert or are there other suggestions? Ok,ok I am a novice.
  5. I also set it to User, in fact it has always been set to User. What is a BMV702 which works great and is it a requirement?
  6. I have just bought a PylonTech 3.5Kw battery which I wanted to connect to my Axpert 5Kw/4Kv hybrid inverter bought in July 2015. I had 4 x Monbat batteries which did not hold a charge for a few years now and I only kept them so that the inverter would still operate i.e. no battery power after dark. I have studied all the information on this thread and thought it would work. Unfortunately I have had no joy as the relay switches on and off (in the inverter) the whole time and i eventually get error 57 displayed. Seems as if the inverter does not recognise the PylonTech battery. All settings have been changed as recommende by all the learned people posting on this thread. I reconnected my old Monbat batteries and unfortunately the error 57 remained so I have had to bypass the inverter so that I could get utility power as the boss of me was ready to explode. Any suggestions?
  7. Thanks Louis, can I not incrementally add more Pylontech batteries? Unfortunately finances does not allow me to purchase more at this stage. I will just ensure that the pool pump, geyser, kettle etc. are not used when Eskom power is off.
  8. I have an Axpert (Mercer) 5Kva/4Kwh hybrid inverter and am in the process of replacing my 4 Monbat batteries with a Pylontech Lithium Ion 3.5kW US3000 Battery. My question is can this be done, has anyone on this forum done this before and is there a manual or instruction on how to go about replacing the batteries with respect to settings/process etc.
  9. Price if I may ask?
  10. Thanks for the information much appreciated. Where is the best place to purchase the battery with respect to price? I stay in Cape Town.
  11. Hi I have 4 Monbat 180ah Deep cycle Batteries 12MVR180 connected to a 5kva (48v) Mercer inverter. The batteries have not held a charge for a few years now and I only use them so the solar system works. I now want to replace them with new batteries and need advice on what batteries to buy, lead acid or lithium? If I go lithium do I still need 4? Regards Rolf
