Growatt SPF 5000 has different parallel board which does not communicate
Hello everyone, I'm having a 3 phase system with Growatt SPF5000es and I just bought 4th inverter to parallel it to phase 1, to have 10kw power in this phase. But..it seems the parallel board of my new inverter is different. This is my wiring: I'm using CAN communication with CAN/RS485 hub between the inverters and my Pylontech US3000C batteries. Unfortunately when I plugged the 4th inverter (and after wiring it all by the manual), I got the Error 20 (BMS communication fail). I digged inside the manual of the old iverters and my new one - and I've found that ihe new BMS board does not need a hub, but only connection between the main inverter and the main battery. So this wiring I guess is not possible to me, because my old 3 inverters are having the old parallel board. Has anyone had and solved this problem? My old 3 inverters never managed to communication by RS485, but it worked by CAN..until now that I add this 4th new inverter. I hope for you help. Thanks

Pylontech US2000 dead after firmware update
yeah, I also did not found any supplier for Pylontech BMS board. btw you can try to contact some supplier/retailers if they have some faulty pylontech batteries and are willing to sell the bms

Expanding Pylontech batteries stack with DIY LiFePO4
So as I spent a lot of money for my Pylontech US3000C batteries, I was thinking: is it possible to find a Pylontech BMS and connect it DIY LiFePO4 cells with the idea to expand my storage at low cost? I have some new LiFePO4 chinese cells that I want to hook up. I could not find any Pylontech BMS board over the internet. I guess this is possible if I set my Growatt inverters to US2 battery mode (custom charge/discharge mode) but I really want to keep the communication between the Pylontech BMS's and my Growatt inverters. I believe this is the future as individual cells always well be way cheaper than pre-build modules and in 3-4 years we will have plenty of cheap options to upgrade our high cost existing systems. Thanks

Pylontech US2000 dead after firmware update
did you manage to resolve this @AthlonFX ? I doubt the wrong firmware damaged the hardware. I hope you found a solution. For the past few days I'm thinking how I want to expand my pylontech us3000c storage with custom LifePO4 cells, connected to pylontech us3000c BMS..but I could not find that bms sold anywhere 😕 These Pylontechs are getting more and more expensive. Please let me know if you manage to find a new bms board for your dead module

Growatt SPF 5000es uses grid when it should not
Thank you @Buyeye. It works great now. With settings 13th set to 23% this morning I did not see the grid powering the house anymore. I'm running on solar + battery. Cheers

Growatt SPF 5000es uses grid when it should not
What is your firmware version? I don't have a problem with max charging. It is charging with up to 65A (peak) my 48V pylontech batteries. The manual says the max is 100A but depends on the batteries as well (and the sun). UPDATE on my issue: I was told this is a firmware bug that is being fixed in the new 05 version. However I'm too scared to flash it right now. Will wait until I get another SPF 5000 inverter as backup if anything goes wrong UPDATE 2: I flashed 06 firmware to all 3 of my growatt inverters and the bug is still present..I'm trying to contact gorwatt support without a luck

Growatt SPF 5000es uses grid when it should not
Hi folks, My system uses 3 Growatt 5000es inverters in three phase mode with 9 Pylontech US3000C batteries. The inverter works in SBU mode (Solar->Battery->Utility). In the mornings all solar power charges the battery and the house uses the grid (instead of using solar for the house and the remaining power for the battery charge). This is clearly a firmware bug, as if I turn off the grid input, the inverters stars working as it should (using solar for the house loads and charging the battery with remaining power). Here is clearly shown: And after switching off the grid for 5 seconds and then turning it back on, it works as it should: Another bug that I experienced is - non working solar only charger (settings 14 set to OSO). In the middle of the night when the battery is drained, it starts charging it from the grid. However this bug I managed to fix by setting hours for utility charging (setting 49 set from 11AM to 13PM). My firmware version is 040 04 301 / 041 04 301. Does anyone know what is updated in the newer version 05 and 06? Thanks!

Firmware - Growatt 5000es
Hello guys. I'm running 3 phase parallel installation with Growatt SPF 5000es (firmware 040.04.301) and I'm experiencing bugs like sometimes grid charges battery while SOL mode is set (grid charger disabled) and despite SBU mode being set, in the morning the grid loads the house while the solar charges the batteries. Small bugs that make my system inefficient. Can please @FJ25 or @zsde send me both 040.05 and 040.06 firmware + the tool for uploading it. My email is [email protected] UPDATE: I found and flashed the 06 firmware but the invertor still has bugs. Every morning it uses the grid to power my house (in SBU mode) and it uses the solar to charge the batteries. If I disconnect main grid power switch for a second, it corrects itself and starts using the sun for both house + battery. So no solution at the moment. I'll be happy if anybody can help with this Big thanks! Deyan
