Hi guys, I have a victron mppt 75|50 blue solar charger, with a 500w solar panel that was charging a set of 3 100ah deep cycle batteries. the system was working just fine bu t the batteries were just getting old and i decided to replace them with a lithium 100ah battery. I changed the victron mppt battery setting to the lithium setting and when i connected the battery it's voltage was at 13.9v (this was at night when there was no solar generation) through the night a couple of devices were on, on the inverter and the battery depleted to to 10.8v. this morning when the sun came out if was expecting the mppt to charge the battery but it just stays at 10.8v. after doing some googling I think the bms must have shut itself down to protect it from completley draining but trying to figure out how to get it going again. from what I read, i have to supply the lithium batter with 12v power either with another battery or maybe something as simple as a car charger. will this make the battery charge from the mppt again. Or is it that the mppt will not start charging until it detects 12v on the battery end... and because the battery is at 10.8v it does not see this and wont charge the battery? if this is the case, then can i could the lithium battery in parallel with the old deep cylce battery just to register 12v and then the charger will charge?

Hi Guys, I've installed a deye 5kw hybrid inverter but hit a snag. I want to extend the CT coil wire but cannot find where to buy an extention... is there any other wire I can use? I need just 8 meters

Thanks so much Aspergo. Has anyone installed the SNA inverter in hybrid mode with this Landis + gyr meter box? Just want to make sure this box won't trip.

ok so as far as I understand the SNA is not on the list. the list is only for hybrid inverters eg: if you plan to feedback to the grid; if you do not plan to feed back to the grid then you just register your SNA as offgrid.

Yeah that's a good question. I've just seen that now too. I'm also actually looking at the SNA version

Hey Guys, Starting my Solar journey soon. looking at installing pylontech 4.8kw battery 4x 390w solar panels to get me started and a luxpower sna 5000 off grid inverter with grid tied functions. I want to use this post as a bit of a journal. to get help along the way and hopefully help someone else looking to do the same thing. Got the solar panels today, waiting for the battery and inverter to be delivered. I bought 16 mounting clips; 12 roof tile hooks and 2x5m unistrusts. I think my first question is: is 6 roof tile hooks enough for a 5 meter span of unistrut guys?

Hi there guys, thanks so much for letting me join this awesome group. I can potentially buy second hand pylontech lithium-ion batteries. Do you guys know a way to test the battery or where I could possibly take it to have it tested in cape town? Or is there anything I could look out for? I did ask the owner to show me the invoice and the batteries are 1 year old. Thanks again guys
