  1. okay, after talking to Growatt's support in China, they informed me that ShineTools is only used with on-grid and not off-grid inverters.
  2. Hi everyone, Has anyone used ShineTools with Growatt SPF 5000 ES? It's just that when I connect it to my datalogger, I'm unable to find the SPF type in the list.
  3. Hey zsde, This doesn't look good. Anyways, i think the growatt wifi is terrible as mine keeps on disconnecting from time to time on its own and I keep on repeating the process to activate it again. I your case, i did not face "datalog currently lost", i think the best thing to do here is to take it to your provider. When I took mine to the shop, the technician opened it and removed its internal battery for a hard reset. This ddnt really resolve my problem when i got it back as i had to reset it multiple time before it was working. I was also informed that accessories are not covered in the warranty. Good luck.
  4. Hi everyone, The setup is as per the following them as per the following: 2x SPF 5000 ES running in parallel (firmware: 040-06-104 and 041-06-104) 10x Longi LR5-72HPH-545M (each 5 panels to an inverter) 12x Lento lead acid LSTB-22000 (12V 200Ah) - installed each 4 in series (48V 200Ah) and then the 3 series in parallel resulting in a setup of 48V 600Ah -> 28.8 Kwh The whole system is also connected to the utility as well. I recently changed the values of setting #2 and #11 on one of the host inverters assuming that the slave will replicate until I found out that they don't. So I had to do it manually in each server so that both are the same. Is this a normal behavior? My settings are as per the following: Program Description Left Inverter Right Inverter 1 OPPR SUB SUB 2 CHGI 50 50 3 ACV APL APL 4 SAVE DIS DIS 5 BATT USE USE 6 LDRS DIS DIS 7 TMRS DIS DIS 8 OUTV 230 230 9 OUTF 50 50 10 BATN 4 4 11 ACI 30 30 12 B2AC 46 46 13 AC2B 54 54 14 CGPR SNU SNU 15 BUZZ ON ON 16 LCDB ON ON 17 ALAM ON ON 18 BYP DIS DIS 19 CV 57.3 57.3 20 FLTV 52 52 21 CUTV 44 44 23 PRLL PAL PAL 28 ADDR 1 1 37 YEAR 2022 2022 38 MON 5 5 39 DAY 18 18 40 HOUR 10 10 41 MIN 0 0 42 SEC 0 0 43 EQ DIS DIS 44 EQV 58.4 58.4 45 EQT 60 60 46 EQTO 120 120 47 EQI 30 30 48 EQ OFF OFF 49 CHG TIM 0000 0000 50 OUP TIME 0000 0000
  5. Hi everyone, I have 2x Growatt SPF 5000 ES connected in parallel set to charge from both the PV and the utility power (when available) I live in a country where the power utility is available 3-5 hours/day (1-2h in the morning, 1-2h in the afternoon and 1-2h in the middle of the night). During the middle of the night, my batteries run out of power and are turned off since my cutoff voltage is set to 44V and the utility is not available to recharge the batteries. After this, when the utility power is back, one of the inverters (the host) goes on to start recharging and giving power to the house while the other (slave 1) either never goes on or takes sometime before starting again. My questions is why doesn't the other (slave 1) start directly with the host and why wouldn't it start at all?
  6. Seems like no one's interested to help. In all cases, I resolved my issues. Contacted support in China, they sent some steps which were already executed before and nothing helped. For some reason I was unable to access 192.168.10.100 even after resetting the device (held the key for 6 seconds and got the 3 colors blinking) and accessing it through hotspot (steady blue light). Then I was able to add the device to my datalogger list but was unable to connect to server.growatt.com (showed as offline on the shinephone app). What caught my attention at this point is that after resetting the datalogger, it's name was always being set to "Left Wifi" which is a name that I gave the first time I had installed it. This is weird because it shouldn't be that way as I had reset it to factory settings and the normal behavior was to see the device's name with it's serial number instead of "left wifi". When accessing the device through hotspot in the ShinePhone app again, I noticed that there is a place to enter "advanced settings" just before setting my internet connection's wifi and password. The advanced settings require a password which I got to discover that it's "growatt+date" (date is: yearmonthday, i.e. growatt20220531). I did not change anything in the settings, I only saved and the datalogger was recognized like last time but this time it was able to connect to growatt's server.
  7. Hi everyone, I woke up this morning and found that one of the 2 inverter's data logger is blinking green while the other one is blinking blue. Please also note that nothing has been changed in terms of configurations. To find the root cause of the issues, I have done the following steps: Removed the logger from the mobile app (Shinephone) Reset the data logger but could not connect using the standard mode while noting that the first time it was installed I used the standard mode. Tried the hotspot mode after clicking on the "key" button with a short press and was able to connect to it but the light is still blinking green. I Tried also resetting my internet router but this didn't work as well. It is very confusing because one data logger is working fine while the other is blinking green. Is there a problem with Growatt's server?
  8. Hi Zsde, I tried all kinds of tricks there is out there. Ended up talking back to the Growatt support and they recommended that I use ISP TOOL 4.3 which worked like a charm. (if you need the tool, i've already attached it to my post on another forum - https://diysolarforum.com/threads/growatt-spf-5000es-firmware-update.35171/page-3#post-508910)
  9. Hi everyone, I recently received the latest firmware (F2809_SK040.06_20220104_A.bin and F030_SK041.06_20220104_A.bin) and ISP tool 4.21 from Growatt support in China and tried to update the firmware but the ISP Tool keeps on sending "Send: Start!" endlessly and my inverter is not starting nor the firmware is being flashed. I used to have the firmware version 040-05-701 and 041-05-701 but after the tool failed to start the inverter I can now see 008-00-316 and 041-05-701 and the inverter is not working. Need some help please.
  10. Oh, by the way, i ddnt mean setting 18. Instead, what do you think about #20? I didn't setup my devices, the installer did. I'm not sure why he is using USE instead of Fld. But in any case, if I use Fld, what would be the default settings in this case? do I rely on the default values or do i also need to change them?
  11. Thank you so much for your help. Can you please also check setting 2-12-13-18-19?
  12. Hi everyone, I would really appreciate it if someone can provide me with the following: Latest firmware for SPF 5000 ES Latest firmware for the MPPT Latest firmware for the data logger Latest version of the ISP Tool Documentation for the above I would also like to know your opinion about the current setup and its configuration that I have although I have confidence in the person who installed but I would like to double check if the settings are good enough to keep my batteries efficient and durable. The setup is as per the following them as per the following: 2x SPF 5000 ES running in parallel (firmware: one inverter is 040/041-05-701 and the other 040/041-06-104) 10x Longi LR5-72HPH-545M (each 5 panels to an inverter) 12x Lento lead acid LSTB-22000 (12V 200Ah) - installed each 4 in series (48V 200Ah) and then the 3 series in parallel resulting in a setup of 48V 600Ah -> 28.8 Kwh The whole system is also connected to the utility as well. My inverter settings are as per the following: Program Description Value 1 OPPR SOL 2 CHGI 70 3 ACV APL 4 SAVE DIS 5 BATT USE 6 LDRS DIS 7 TMRS DIS 8 OUTV 230 9 OUTF 50 10 BATN 4 11 ACI 30 12 B2AC 46 13 AC2B 54 14 CGPR SNU 15 BUZZ ON 16 LCDB ON 17 ALAM ON 18 BYP DIS 19 CV 56.8 20 FLTV 51 21 CUTV 45 23 PRLL PAL 28 ADDR 1 37 YEAR 2022 38 MON 5 39 DAY 18 40 HOUR 10 41 MIN 0 42 SEC 0 43 EQ DIS 44 EQV 58.4 45 EQT 60 46 EQTO 120 47 EQI 30 48 EQ OFF 49 CHG TIM 1200 50 OUP TIME 0000
