Hi Guys My Mecer on the farm blew its motherboard according to Mustek.I handed in the inverter yesterday and they replaced it today and it is ready for collection very good service. I asked the guy what went wrong and he explained that the mosfets blew on the output side of the board he also stated that i might have been due to a faulty battery or just component fail. Hi There How do convert my battery c10 rating to a c20 rating. If i am not mistaken the victron bmv 702 uses the c20 rating but my battery spec sheet only gives me c10 and c100 ratings. How can I convert this to a c20 rating. Thanks for the help.

Hi guys I need some advice my dad is in the market for a 8.5kw grid tie system he uses 3 phase power at his house in marble hall limpopo please give me some recommendations and reputable installers that will be willing to do the job his house is +-200km from pretoria about 100km from middelburg mpumalanga. He would like to cut on his utility bill. He uses a generator for backup when no power is available. Please let me know if you can assist.

Update: Rectron just phoned me they replaced the usb com board all working now will pick it up this afternoon and put it back. Now I want to buy the victron bmv 702 and start playing with software.

Ok guys quick update edmundp came over to my place yesterday and tried his latop shame issue that I had. He was very help full even help me disconnect the inverter thanks for the help ed. Took the inverter into rectron this morning for repairs will let you know what is the outcome.

I had an old prolific usb to com port laying around plug it into my win pc and it detects it correctly, unfortunately I cant use it because the inverter only has a usb input so I would guess that it used some sort of usb to serial board inside. I am leaning more towards the part that the USB com port on the inverter is busted.

The problem is windows device manager detect the usb as an unknown device(device descriptor failed) so I don't even see a com port on device manager. I am starting to think the com port might be bust. This really sucks. I tried almost everything I found on google but still no luck.

I used my windows 10 pc with wmware workstation to test but I think if windows 10 does not detect it the underlying vm will also not detect it. I am out of ideas for now. Maybe I need to try linux but will need to find a laptop for it first.

Disconnected everything and turned it of did not fix the issue. I still think it is driver related.

How would i do a complete restart.

I am not having any luck with this tanks for all the help. Dont I need a specific driver for the usb device the axpert inverter is using this is really frustrating Windows just keep giving me the unknown usb device error.

I tried my wife's laptop on win 7 same issue but it does not give an error I am now thinking it might be the watch power software. What version should I use?

Where would I find the correct Watchpower software and the correct firmware just not sure how I would update the firmware if usb is not working.

Don't know how I am going to get this working tried win 7 vm but it does not work. This is a strange one as it use to work.

Yes it works with everything else just issues with the axpert maybe time to create a linux vm and test.

Hi There I am new to this forum and would like to know if anybody is having the same issues that I am having with my axpert mks 3kva 24v unit. I only have a usb comm port but as soon as I plug it into my laptop to use the watchpower software I get usb unrecognized error this is on windows 10 is there a way to get past this point as it is really frustrating as I would like to use monitoring software with my inverter. Do I perhaps need a firmware update? and if so where would I get the firmware Thanks in advance for all the help.
