Ravenshield got a reaction from Yellow Measure in Kodak OGS5.6 with Hubble AM2 5.5KWh
I posted on the forum a while back to get advice and changed my initial plans a bit and started off with Inverter and battery in stead of Inverter and panels, i will now add panels as funds come in. Here is the install so far.

Haha i see you answering the questions now even before i get to ask them! My next question was what the components are i need tot make the install safe legal and neat, as i need to make a list of those!

Keep in mind, that on a cloudy day with loadshedding, you will still have no power to work from home, without a battery. If that is the main goal, you are trying to achieve.

May be we can add another plus point. While it is blending PV with grid it would seem it can never export so no risk of prepaid tripping or the need of the CT circuit.
Also always clean 220V and no surges coming through to equipment.

Yes they are all under the Segen umbrella of warranty & tech support. However, they need to be installed properly for the warranty to be actioned. So that means surge protection on the PV side. Also depends on the resellers ability to entertain your warranty claim. Because the reseller or installer in my case becomes the 3rd party between the the end user & the supplier. So hence choose this person well.

Yes @Scorp007, my point exactly. I operated my Mickey mouse little MKSll with no battery for 6months. I was waiting for a new cells to build my own bank. The video is really not a myth. The machine works & works really really well on a good sunny day & yes she will go offline if you load her like boil the kettle & you only have a 2kW PV Array. I don't expect miracles , however, keeping a router, maybe a PC & some beers cold in the fridge can definitely work a treat. Not to mention keep your groceries cold in the deep freeze. The PV availability depends on the Array size. If you had a 5kW Array on a sunny day the kettle will boil.
Growing your system over time is what the Kodak/ Voltronics High Voltage machines allow for. @Coulombgot the model list spot on. The Kodak's are named differently but it's the exact same machine. I also only warrant buying & installing the Kodak for the great Support you have with Segen Solar. If things go bad, they will support you in the warranty period & even repair at cost out of warranty. This is local technical support. Unfortunately, the other brands will be a glorified phone line to China & nothing will be fixed in a short space of time. The Kodak is a good insurance policy to have. It's an electronic device like any other. Stuff can be defective or break over time.

Yes the generation 3 and upwards models definately has battery independant operation, it is also specified and marketed as such, I had a unit under test on my swimming pool without battery, for a couple of months.
Of course, the constraint is that solar offers no storage, so when the solar power is insufficient, the unit lowers the output voltage accordingly. I had an output voltage of even down to 110vac when solar was very poor, so i had to introduce a voltage operated switch to deny the load under low voltage condition. But when sufficient solar power is available the output is regulated at constant 230vac.The pool motor actually gets hot because it cannot turn at low volts.
The blending of grid, solar and battery are really seamless and magic.  When the grid comes back it will augment and import power to cater for the solar dips.

I was really very impressed. The model under test is a Kodak MKSIII.

This is a Kodak OG5.6 one of the models that has the HV Solar Charge Controller. Busy with this 3 phase installation but more for your reference to see how the Kodak brand looks. The Axpert/ Voltronics equivalent is called the MKS4. It will come in white. Not this very very yellow colour 🤣🤣

DIY Geek has them, so does many other resellers. The Kodak's are hard to miss bright yellow.
