  1. Sorry forgot to mention the password for the software to modify anything is 0000
  2. Apologies to anyone waiting on me for the software. I've shared it via Google Drive you can download it with the following link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cnqzpXq4m2gC6LMKKvU9qAjEyEIuCm71/view?usp=sharing You will need the following https://www.robotics.org.za/RS485-MINI?search=basic usb to rs485 converter%2C 2 wire I can't recall exactly but you connect the usb to rs485 to the battery via the RS485 port pins 4 and 5. Open the software and select the com port that the converter was assigned and connect. If it doesn't work swap the wire polarity on the converter. Once connected go to the item on the side where the protocol can be changed (can't recall what this is called as well it's been a while). Change the protocol to WOW RS485. Connect the battery to the Luxpower on the CANBUS port with pins 1 and 2 straight and choose battery brand 21. Make sure all dip switches are off. Note that I have since swapped the battery type to lead acid and set a float voltage of 50 and charge voltage of 53. The way these BMSs talk to the inverter causes micro charging / discharging which isn't good for the battery (subjective).
  3. If anyone needs the software PM me your email address so I can send it to you, I can't attach it here because it's larger than 3MB. Also watch out for the N Energy batteries. I returned mine cause the batteries inside were 80 Ah instead of the advertised 100 Ah and one of the cells were leaking! Whereas the Ultra Energy cells were actually 120 Ah. I replaced the damaged BMS in the Ultra Energy with a JK BMS and linked it with Home Assistant. No issues at all.
  4. Coincidentally lighting struck my Ultra Energy and the only battery in stock was the N Energy. It uses the exact same BMS. You can access the BMS with software that I can provide and with a RS485 to USB converter.
  5. Solved it. For those who are wondering. 1. The Ultra Energy 4.8kWh batteries dated from this year, they are using an AIENEGY BMS which is a clone of the Seplos BMS. The BMS monitoring software I can provide upon request the Seplos monitoring software does not work. 2. To communicate with the Luxpower SNA5000 the BMS need to be set to WOW RS485 protocol in the monitoring software 3. The Luxpower needs to be set on brand 21 4. Cable is standard RS485 pin 1 to pin 1 and pin 2 to pin 2, NOTHING else connected. CANBUS port on the battery side and CANBUS/RS485 on the Luxpower side. 5. All dip switches to off Works perfectly

Try contacting Miao Miao from Luxpower Tek [email protected] She sorted me out same day. Just mention you're not coming right with South Africa Luxpower support.
  7. Hi I've got an Ultra Energy 4.8kWh battery connected via can bus to the Luxpower. It's reporting the capacity and SOC correctly but the battery voltage shows 5.0V instead of 50.20V. It seems that the inverter is calculating the reported voltage wrongly (decimal value) or the battery is sending the wrong data. Any advice?

  9. How long did you wait for Griin Energy to deliver the batteries? I'm being ignored on the Whatsapp number and I already paid. I'm starting to suspect scam.
