  1. Awesome thanks everyone
  2. Hi A while ago I got a 8kw hybrid inverter. I currently have several 575W panels on order. From this page https://www.sunsynk.org/8kw-hybrid-inverter Its says the Solar Input: Max power input is 10400W 18 panels x 575W = 10,350W Does that mean that 18 panels are max that I can handle with this inverter right?
  3. Thanks will definitly check it out
  4. Hi everybody So I finally got my Sunsynk up and running. I got the wifi dongle with it, its set up up and the data is pulling through. I am still figuring out the interface but at this point it seems extremly limited. My impression was that you could do anything on it that you can do on the screen itself. I know you can somehow get more permissions, is that something I should do? My question is how do you guys manage and monitor your Inverter, batteries and Solar? I am a Developer so would love to do much more custom things, like API calls to be alterted when it is loadshedding etc. I am busy setting up Home Assistant as well but still in early stages. Do you guys have some good resources to share like a thread or articles? Any general tips and tricks would also be appreciated. (Would also prefer to store data locally and not send it to some dodgy site)
  5. Thanks for the info Yea I dont need more instantaneous power. It is just to last longer in case that the power is down for extended amount of time. 1 - 3 days power outages becoming more common as infrastructure continues to decline in the area.
  6. Will be getting 12 x 550-570 Watt Jinko Panels But still want to know what the max amount of 5.12kWh Sunsynk Batteries I can connect to the inverter before I am forced to get a second one.
  7. I recently got a 8KW Sunsynk inverter and soon they will deliver 2 x 5.12kWh Sunsynk Batteries. If I want to get 2 more batteries in the future can the inveter support it or would I need an additional inverter?
  8. So like many newbies on here I am planning on throwing up some 600W+ panels on my roof. I came across this video in my research From around 2 mins in he says it is about the Watts per square inche. He says the panel with the higher Watt rating is just gonna be bigger and more expensive and that panels that exceed 440 W are typically commercial panels. This video makes it sound like 400W is what you should target. I wanted to get as few large panels as possible but this did make me think. How do you guys appraoching sizing? Starting to think calculating the Watts per square inche and compare that with the cost

Thanks guys. Yea it being able to be repared here is big.
  10. I imported a bunch of cells from China (Know someobody that knows how to do this right and build them) 280amph 51.2V Will the Deye vs Sunsynk work with these batteries? Does anybody have any experience?
  11. lavaland posted a topic in Inverters
So I get that Deye manufactures the inverters for SunSynk. Then SunSynk customizes them with a more Westernized interface on the screen. The inside components are the same. Here is my question. At time the SunSynk is R10k plus more expensive. Is the "Westernized interface" really worth R10k? Is there anytingh that the SunSynk can do that the Deye cant? Also read somewhere that SunSynk has app and Deye uses Desktop browser. To be honest I MUCH prefer using Desktop Browser. So basically in ppracticle terms what is the difference? If I buy the Deye and learn the interface can I achiece the exact same thing and is it all english?
  12. @Steve87 Ok but can I see prices and sizes somewhere? I dont see any prices on segensolar
  13. @Steve87 Thanks Steve appreacite the input. Will investigate the Infinisolar.
