user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infini 10kw 3 phase Firmware UpgradeSerial can be seen in SolarPower software and on the typeshield on the side of the inverter. It should start with 9616xxyyzz...

user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infini 10kw 3 phase Firmware UpgradePls. note both of my post's above!

user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infini 10kw 3 phase Firmware UpgradeWhat inverter do you have exactly (pic of type/serial would be helpful) and what fw version does it run currently?
-
user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infini 10kw 3 phase Firmware UpgradeThe password of fw files from the czech site is "daily".
But be warned: Not every FW for the 10k infini works on all models!!!
You have to choose the right one based on your serial# which includes the production date. I can assist.
To see correct version currently installed (compilation date/time) u have to press UP+DOWN simultaneously for a few sec.

user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infini 10kw 3 phase Firmware UpgradeYes, fw-update is currently supported via RS232 port only.
No shutdown needed, simply eject the card from the options slot for the update as the continous commands from this cards seem to slow down the cpu during the update process.
I recall that I needed 45 mins. for the update once with a modbus card inserted, while it usually takes only about 10mins.

user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infinisolar 10KW / MPI 10K - ERROR 14 inverter dc component exceeds the allowable rangeI've recently installed a new Infinisolar 10KW that has been in stock for some years (type shield says "PAR-B", build date mid of 2018, FW was upgraded to: 2020-04-02).
After about 2 weeks in service the inverter stops working with ERROR 14 "inverter dc component exceeds the allowable range". It remains hanging until a complete powercycle.
On it's dc input 1 there are 21x 280W panels connected (=654V Vmpp / 8,99A Impp, 815Voc / 9.67A Isc). According to my realtime logging there are about 9.67A (=Isc) shortly before the fault appears. It's unusual cold for that time of the year (minus 5° celsius) and there are many quick cloud/sun changes.
According to the datasheet the inverter should be capable of 18A dc current per input, so in fact it's far away from the limit. I'm afraid that the mpp mechanism does not work fast enough for such quick load changes and the tracker gets out of it's "rhythm". Too bad that it does not recover by itself and needs manual action.
Did anyone ever experienced something similar?

user27 reacted to riogrande75 in FSP 15Kw (Infinisolar) Firmware UpdateGreat!
Can you pls. post the name/version of your new fw?
-
user27 reacted to riogrande75 in FSP 15Kw (Infinisolar) Firmware UpdateIf you've got the update from the manufacturer by providing your serial#, then it should work. Off course there is always some risk - but in this case it's minimized.
Make sure you remove any optional card (modbus,...) for the upgrade and follow the manual strictly.
Just upgraded a 10k this morning, worked like a charm.

user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infini 10kw 3 phase Firmware UpgradeYou have to remove the card in the options slot during flashing.
-
user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infini 10kw 3 phase Firmware UpgradeThe fw you installed is for brand new devices (2022 and up). I expect that it fits only on the latest generation of cpu mainboards.
What serial# does your inverter have? Based on that I can suggest the latest firmware for your device.

user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infini 10kw 3 phase Firmware Upgrade@Ali juttyou never stop learning...☺️
What fw version (date) does your device run and what type/brand is it (sticker on side)?
-
user27 reacted to riogrande75 in Infini 10kw 3 phase Firmware UpgradeSo far I did not see any firmware version other than 1.01 on Infinisolar 10k and it's clones (FSP,MPP,EASUN,PANTA,...). So this is absolutely meaningless.
As stated above, the firmware compilation date (U1/U2, press UP+DOWN) is the only important notice.
Also production date (can be extracted from serial#) is crucial - this tells the hw generation of the inverter (non parallel, parallel-A, parallel-B,...).
