mjmx8k got a reaction from Coulomb in Axpert MKS4 5,6kw MPPT sticky at 120vinstalled well, went immediately to 200+ volt (end of day)
i will see more tomorrow, but looks very promising

mjmx8k got a reaction from Coulomb in Axpert MKS4 5,6kw MPPT sticky at 120vYes, you made exactly what i wanted to have as this "change only startup amps" works well for me on both inverter models.:-)
Version 274.03 started to increase Voltage as soon as 0,25A was exceeed this worked well without higher MPPT voltage set.
Version 274.04 start to increase Voltage after MPPT reaches 0,8A for any reason, even you set 0,2A in firmware parameters.
when it passed the 0.8 amps once and then for any reason go back to 0,3A it keeps the higher MPPT voltage nicely.
so maybe thy have added in 74.04 a new / additional parameter for the 0,8A as startup value...
btw, 274.04 seems to be better in terms of daily production. it makes more watts a day.

the Version 274.03 for the MKS4 works very well and stable.
its a huge improvement on cloudy days as it goes to higer voltage much earlier.
thank you for this!

mjmx8k got a reaction from jumper in BETA FIRMWARE AXPERT MAX 8 KW >>>MPPT improvement<<< (Based on stable 90.06)I am since yesterday afternoon on 192.04 175v and Solar cables plugged off from Helper PCB and it looks veeeeery promising.
Its snowing and this is how the panels look. they do in this situations 680 watts!
AC Out is stable
No F80
All in all, it looks like a HUGE improvement already now...
As we have very stable "bad" weather and guaranteed no sun irradiation changes, i think there is still some kind of "locked in by amps" and not locked in by volts:
in this chart - for absolutely no weather related issuse - suddenly the watts jump from 70 to 177
it looks like the MPPT did not find a better point for long time and suddenly found.
so maybe there is still space for more optimizarion of the MPPT code
