Victron Quattro 15kva battery terminals short during Loadshedding
I cannot 100% simulate load shedding because I cannot simulate a "brown out" . 100s of other Victron users are also suffering from the same issue. Testing it with a multimeter, there is also a short between live and neutral on out 1.

Victron Quattro 15kva battery terminals short during Loadshedding
Background : we have blackouts in South-Africa (Loadshedding), power is cut for 2 hours at a time in my town (Nelspruit), depending on the stage between 1 and 4 times per day currently. I bought the Victron Quattro 15kva with 28 panels, 2 mppts, cerbo gx, color screen, smart shunt and 2 x 10kwh Lithium batteries. Was installed by a Victron accredited installer. The purchase was made to avoid Loadshedding and not be affected by it. Between every 3rd and 6th time the inverter will shut down completely, whether my loads are 200, 1200, 2000 or 4000 watts, doen not matter if the batteries are 70, 90 or 100%. If it's during the daytime it will start up again within 2 minutes if there is sufficient sunlight. During nighttime it wont come back on at all until the grid power is restored. There is a short on the battery terminals so the batteries goes into protection, It won't turn back on again, even if I turn the unit off and on, only when the grid come back it will turn on. The installer updated the firmware to the latest version. He set the cut off voltage to 210v to not follow the grid down for a "brown out" I cannot replicate the problem by turning of the main grid power, then the inverter switches without issue. Any help would be appreciated

Synapse/Expert 5kW inverter trips Earth Leakage when AC comes on.
Have you checked your neutrals ? Had 2 similar issues, one where the live was going through the el and neutral not, and one where where suspected a light circuit was connected to the geyser neutral, we had to draw in a new wire for the geyser, just count find the fault. Also check if the el is not faulty

Do I need a solar combiner box on a SunSynk 5kva ?
We have a few Victron systems in our rental properties, looking to save a few Rands and go with Sunsynk on a few more. Does the Sunsynk have a fused/Protection on the MPPT or do I still need to fuse/surge protect it tia

Thoughts on this self built combiner box ?
Goo day So after seeing the "professionals" do a few of our installations, I thought I can do it just as well or better for cheaper. Yes I know that I will still need a COC, I will do most of the work myself and then get a professional to go through everything and do a COC. It will be 3 strings of panels, each double fuseholder will kill the + and - of each string. are the way that I've bridged them on top correct ? tia

Am I getting Poor performance from Deltec 410w monocrystalline panels (At 3 different sites) ?
Good day, has anyone else had any issues on the Deltec 410w monocrystalline panels ? We have done solar systems at a few of our properties, accredited installers. I do understand that there are losses but we are not even getting 50%-60% at max during full sun at the houses (mostly around 50% or less) with the Deltec panels. All the installations are less than 4 months old, all less than 2 km from each other. Site 1: Installed on a flat concrete roof, raised to about 30 degrees. 16 Deltec 410w panels (6560w) , 4 panels per string, 4 strings, Victron 250/100 mppt - max ever 3200watt , mostly 2500w Site 2: Installed on a tiled roof, facing north. 12 Deltec 410w panels (4920w) , 4 panels per string, 3 strings, Victron 250/85 mppt - max ever 2500watt , mostly 2200w Site 3: Installed on a tiled roof, facing north. 9 x Deltec 410w panels (3690w) 3 panels per sting, 3 strings, Victron 250/85 mppt - max ever 2200w, mostly 1800w Now compared to site 4 and 5 with RenewSys 340w (330w?) panels Site 4: 20 x RenewSys 330w panels (6600w), 5 panels per string, 4 strings, Victron 250/100 mppt, max 5800w, mostly 4800w Site 5: 20 x RenewSys 330w panels (6600w), 5 panels per string, 4 strings, Victron 250/100 mppt, max 5600w, mostly 4700w Site 6: Still in progress, Will be a Patio roof cover, at the same location as Site 4. 16 Deltec 410w panels (6560w) , 4 panels per string, 4 strings, Victron 250/100 mppt - Should be done early this week but I fear the power won't be close to Site 4 with the RenewSys panels. I know people will sy angle, location, time of day ect but compared to the RenewSys the performance is almost half for the same wattage. I did get the Deltec panels for a very good price and still have another 12 left, is there any way to get them tested before they are installed ? Tia
