Grid-tied 5kw solar solution confusion
So if, for example, my geyser and oven are connected to non-essential, then they shouldn't contribute exceeding to the 35A threshold? If my 5KW Deye inverter turns off from an AC overload while there is grid power available, then it's likely my essential load doing this?

Adapters / conversions for very old DB
After pricing main switches, earth leakages, DIN rails etc, it actually worked out cheaper to buy a pre-populated Veti DB which I'll fit into the cavity in the wall, and then make a nice frame to cover the gaps thereafter.

Adapters / conversions for very old DB
where would I look for that?

Adapters / conversions for very old DB
I tried putting a Din circuit breaker there, but I couldn't get it to fit. Will look again later. Chucking away those old breakers (and EL) is exactly the plan. I'm just trying to figure out how to fit the new breakers. You reckon I should just screw in a Din rail?

Adapters / conversions for very old DB
I need to replace some circuit breakers in a very old DB. Anyone know what adapters I can use to mount DIN circuit breakers onto this old system? Any idea what this old system is called?

Best App - Deye Inverter?
Is it possible to access the data directly without additional hardware?

Sonoff Loadshedder Lucky Draw Bundle
That's actually quite an elegant solution. In the last 2 days, I applied for a solar installation which will obviously come with an inverter wired into the DB and will thus make the Loadshedder setup infinitely more valuable. If it hadn't been for Stage 6, I would likely have ended up using a slight variation to the solution you suggested.

Sonoff Loadshedder Lucky Draw Bundle
I'm struggling to follow. How would the contactor send an instruction to the smart valves?

Sonoff Loadshedder Lucky Draw Bundle
Can I get this to work if my inverter doesn't run through my DB? I have a trolley inverter that I use and manually plug in devices that I want on backup. The use-case for the load shedder is I need to switch my water from borehole to municipal when the power goes out, and back again when grid power is restored. The smart devices to manipulate the water valves are 12v and will be powered from my gate motor battery (i.e. always on).
