  1. Send some pictures on the inverter specified above is it the RCT Megapower trolley IVR-1200LBKS 12v Power Inverter?
  2. I assume you have this unit Mercer IVR-1200LBKS 12v Power Inverter? They support lead acid to a point and could function. These are crappy modified sine wave inverters with a 10/20amp float charger with no current limiting curcuit hence the reason you will damage the mosfets inside the unit when connecting to lifepo4. The correct way to charge lifep04 is CC/CV in 2 stages bulk stage constant current @20-25A depending on energie density 0.3C,0.5C or 1C.Then absorption stage 14.2v decreasing current until battery is fully charged. Lifep04 has very low internal resistance hence the reason you need a robust CC/CV charger. It will not damage the lifepo4 battery but it would not be charged to full capacity not a problem for Lifep04. At 10 amps with 50%dod it will take 5 hours to charge up to 13.7v the unit float voltage. The lifepo4 could rather damage the inverter.
  3. Hi Neil if you didn't get somebody to sort you out i build standby units in 480w, 640w, 800w and 1200w ups units with 2 x 12v 1280wh lifep04 drop in batteries in parallel for the 480w and 640w units and ESENER 2.56kWh 24V LIFePO4 Battery Module for the 800w and 1200w units. I have installed 103 units already. Remember not wired into db board needs 1x15A socket outlet that is on the main earth leakage. You can pm me if you are interested.
  4. I had a look at the specs on the Powersafe12v155f and it is NOT the same battery that i have mine is a FLA where yours is a AGM( absorbed glass matt) so do NOT open the cells on the battery as they are under vacuum and do NOT add any water!!!!. The service life is between 7-12 years depending on cycle use. EnerSys-12V125F-datasheet.pdf
  5. Very impressive video👌I am familiar with your lead acid batteries we used them in telekom standby applications. You can actually check and top up the electrolyte on each cell that might help in your case. Attached some pictures of how to get to the cells to check and refill with electrolyte. 35% sulfuric acid and 65% distilled water.
  6. You need to be extremely careful with lead acid batteries if they are getting that hot!!!! I have worked with a lot of large lead acid battery banks in the mining industry on DC locomotives. You have some damaged cells and they can actually explode. Get them checked out asap by a forklift company. Do not keep on charging them as jou do have damaged or dry cells in the bank
  7. Read the Synsynk warrenty clause carefully the 10 years will only be applicable if the battery cycles is less than 700/ year that equates to 1.9 cycles per day you might not achieve that with current load shedding cycles. Great product true bi derectional parity inverter will blend all energy sources available when Eskom is on.
  8. Why is Hubble much cheaper hence the reason everyone is bying them. They contain 2nd life cells that has been used in high demand applications and have between 70-90% capacity left. Freedom One more expensive but using Grade A cells. Hubble wants to sort problem via a cloudlink that is your problem right there no boots on the ground and very poor after sales service i am ticket number 125 and my client want answers what happens!!! You get a bad reputation. I won't recommend Hubble due to expierience. I have 2x BSL 6.4kWh on my testbench at the moment very impressed. Like the saying goes you get wat you pay for and believe me you don't want to buy twice$$$$
  9. I fully agree!!! I have endless problems with 2 x AM-2's they use BYD NMC cells. They state that they undervolt them for longevity. It seems that their BMSs are misconfigured cells not balancing. Much rather Pylontech or Freedom won -e tower expandable to 30kw
  10. Good day all members i am new to this forum. I am a installation electrician my company Towfac Electrical cc and i am stationed on the east rand. Just a few pointers to Face's post. Geewiz has quoted you on drop in lifep04 batteries hence the battery balancer for the 2 batteries. I have installed 12v drop in replacements before CFE 1280wh that is connected in series without a battery balancer. What should happen when connecting lifep04 in series you should top balance both batteries to 100% soc(state of charge) before connecting them in series. You must have a accurate coulomb meter as relying on battery voltage is not a accurate reflection of soc on lifep04. Remember with 2 lifep04 batteries in series you have 2 4s bms' that can't communicate. If not using a battery balancer on series connected lifep04 you will have to top balance each battery every 6 months. Make sure to follow setup procedure as stated by Acuario. I am not sure if Sucerity prod batteries is 1C while you spending the money get Pylon UP2500 2.84kWh Li-Ion then you dont have the extra cost of the battery balancer. The Pylon goes for around R 19k
