  1. I am leaning to this as you can see the voltage drop as the temps get hotter during the day while the current is steady at 12.7-ish
  2. The MPPT max A is 13A so does not seem like that is the issue
  3. Hi, I have seen on some days that my solar production ramps up in the morning and then stops at around 2.8kW where it stays for a few hours before it goes down during evening. I have a 5kW Deye, 5kW Volta battery and 6 x 545W = 3270W solar panels. I have seen the panels produce near that maximum during cooler lightly cloudy days where the clouds scatter the sunlight. Is there any reason why this might be happening? My settings seem to allow the higher wattage, but on warm sunny days it seems to be limited. See below graph as example:
  4. Has anyone tried this on a 5kW Deye? I am struggling to get data from the inverter. Here is my yaml code: and here is the logs from ESPHome: I have checked and rechecked wiring and soldering. It's as if no data is coming through.
  5. I am also getting this issue. Did you manage to solve it?
  6. That is how I understand it, but in terms of the software, it seems as though the Sunsynks are kept much more up to date with firmware and new software features. The videos online explaining Deye software are few and far between and mostly in other languages. So just seems as though it would be worth it to pay for the Sunsynk to have more resources in terms of support.

  8. That is what I plan on doing. I have a Cat6 cable pulled in from the Main DB to the Inverter. It is shielded and I plan to use 4 wires per strand, so then using all the available cables in the Cat6. I hope that will do the trick, otherwise I will have to what @system32 recommended.

  10. My Main DB is 30m from where my inverter is planned to be. I have read that the max length of the CT cable from the Main DB to the inverter should not exceed 15m. I have a normal prepaid meter. What can I do to ensure the signal from the CT reaches the inverter correctly?

  13. I am interested in getting the following setup: Sunsynk/Deye - 5kW inverter Revov R100 / Volta Stage 1 - 5kW batteries Looking to get the Sunsynk with the Revov or the Deye with the Volta. Apparently the official Deye importers (Africo Solar) are also the owners of the Volta battery brand. So if you pair them up you get extended 11 year warranty on the battery. What I want to know is if it is really better to get the Sunsynk over the Deye and if the Volta battery is decent? (See battery brochure attached) Are there any other battery brands which you wll recommend which are around R27k for a 5kW capacity. Thanks Volta Stage 1.pdf

  15. I want to know if Shoto batteries have any local representation in Cape Town like Hubble and Revov has. What happens is something goes wrong with a Shoto battery and needs to be returned or checked?
