    I could be wrong, but I think it could be a Conderenergy and fall under the "Sun" group of inverter and just re-branded an Ainegy.

    Buttons look to be the same and from what I can see on the screen, same or very similar.

    After some long searching, I found a local supply of bidirectional meters, i.e. an electrical consumption meter that shows how much electricity you've consumed and how much you've produced, separately. Take note this is not the type of meter that would be supplied by a municipality. I bought this to measure how much electricity I could supply to the other units in my mid-size complex (we have a single bulk feed meter)
    I got the meter from Electromann in Roodepoort (I'm not receiving any benefit from them) at the following link:

    My electrician installed it like any other consumption meter, though apparently "backwards" in that the arrows showing consumption and production were swopped around. It was an easy enough fix - I stuck tags to tell the person reading the meter what each arrow signifies. To test I waited a few months to see consumption and the other day I had my inverter feed back into the grid. The measurement was accurate enough.
    So now I'll finally be able to get my bill down to zero and use my batteries only as backups.

    PS - Scorch marks were from another convetional meter that burnt out a few years prior and is unrelated to mine.

    My bet is on you exporting power and being charged for it...
    Make sure your CT coil is correctly installed and disable export to grid.

    The sunsynk you want to install does all the required functions. It does not export when the grid goes down and switches to islanding mode powering only your home to disconnect from the grid in a power outage.
    There are several large estates doing this allowing people to feed back excess into the estate since the power will be used by the neighbour. This causes the estate to purchase less units overall meaning less money for the municipality (and eskom). But it does require them to install a bi-directional metering and the metering might be contracted to a third party which might not give you a 1-to-1 ratio for units returned, or worse they might not even support it at all.  
    Imho this is where South Africa needs to go, every solar panel installed could lessen the load that Eskom needs to supply (which means less loadshedding for everyone).
