I have a 15 cell battery less than 1 year old. One cell is out of balance. At the top end, if the other cells is above 3.5, that cell will only reach 3.45. On the lower end, if the other cells is still above 3v, the problem cell is already on 2.5 volt and the BMS shuts down. The pack is rated at 100 Amp Hour, but I only get 87 Amp hour. I already send it back to the supplier. They send it back and said nothing wrong.

I manage to get the sun pays battery communicating with the sacolar 5000 kwh ( same as growatt spf 5000). Same method as Wilco mentioned. I did not have to change the protocol via jakiper software I seems like this batteries use the Pace BMS. I need more documents on this protocol. I prefer to communicate directly with the BMS via a raspberry pi. If you connect the BMS to the inverter, it over wrights the Absorption charge and float charge voltages.

123456 worked for me, but I was unable to change anything on the parameter setting page. I can however change the capacity, charge cycles, serial number etc. Any advice on changing the cell balancing voltage from 3.5 to 3.45?

In Solar assistant, Select Growatt SPF inverter, USB0..... Battery, USB to Serial RS232/485, USB1..... Or use the tspsolarbot on the raspberry PI.

Hi ztec, In Solar Assistant. Model Growatt SPF INVERTER USB PORTS: USB1....... BATTERY: USB TO SERIAL RS232/485, USB0...... It worked for me on the Blue Sacolar 5kW inverter. Much better than the tspsolarbot.
