  1. Hi All I have managed to get the Sun Pays 4.8kwh batteries to communicate with Growatt inverters. Hope this help somebody. Use a normal LAN straight throuhg cable. Plug it in on the RS485 port on battery and the BMS port on the inverter. Set dip switch 1 to on, on master battery. Google Jakiper battery monitor software or download Here. It is exactly the same as the sun pays bms software except it has a extra field where you can select the different protocols. select growatt RS485 protocol. On the inverter section 5 select Li and protocol 01. Gives an error 04 for about 20 seconds then it starts communicating. on the battery there are other protocols as well, so play around with different inverters, you might get it to work on other systems. I have tested it on the non touch screen version, not sure if it will work on the newer touch screen batteries
  2. Use Protocol 52 for LBSA batteries
  3. I have got a stange phenomenom with an installation. 2 growatt ES inverters in parallel, 4 dyness B3 batteries. each inverter has 8 panels connected to it. The one inverter is fine when the panels are connected. However if you connect the other 8 panels to the slave inverter you can not toutch any window or door frame or metal object thats fixed to the house with out getting a jolt of electricity. as well as the roof. When they are disconnected everything is fine, checked the wiring for bad insulation, checked the earths nothing wrong. What can this be? I have done several installations and this is the first time I have encountered this.
  4. Thank you so much Coulomb

  6. Are there any newer firmware or patched firmware available for these inverters. Got one in at a customer and the thing also goes into premature float, does not charge the batteries fully. current firmware is 74 40 thanks
  7. Mains off, PV off, inverter off and lastly batteries. Then batteries on, inverter on and then the rest. Some TL inverters only load the new settings after a reboot
  8. For what its worth. I have installed a few growatt inverters with Dyness Batteries. My settings on the ES is Li and protocol 1. Cable that I use is the black cable black boot on the in port on the battery and orange boot in the RS485 port on the inverter. Dipswitches 0110 on master and the rest 0000. This setup is working without a hitch TL is a bit more finnicky. Also the same black cable with black boot on IN port on battery and orange boot in the BMS port. Battery DIP settings 0110 on master and the rest 0000. With the TL you will have to play around with the protocols. setting is Li and protocol 1 or 2. Start with 1, powerdown the inverter completely and restart. error 04 will show for about a minute then dissapear. if you get an error 20 after restart try protocol 2. PLEASE REMEMBER TO POWERDOWN EVERYTHING COMPLETELY AFTER YOU MADE CHANGES. it works, dont know why but it does. hope this will help someone
  9. The batteries are 8 x 12v 200Ah Pantzer AGM batteries that I bought from Solaire. Panels are enough, running 12 x 250 ecosol panels. Current draw is the same for the last year. System is properly sized. batteries shows full at 10 in the morning already. Sure they just need a equalize then they will be good again. The inverters are 1 year old Mercer MKS units and according to @Coulomb 's write up, the firmware are for the MKS inverters with single MPPT. Surely when the firmware changes the programming sections might also change then

  11. Thanks Guys I just downloaded the patched firmware, going to try it. According to another post, this version has the ability now to do equalizing at program section 33 to 37 and 39. don't know how true it is. Will give it a go in the next few days and see if it's true
  12. The Axpert MKS inverters are a nice and relatively trouble free inverter. The only thing lacking is battery equalizing in the MPPT or inverter. Do any one know of a solution to this problem? I install mainly off grid systems in the rural areas en every now and again I get a call that the batteries does not last. Then I have to load my 64v charger and a generator and go sit there for hours waiting for the batteries to equalize and some systems are over 500km from me. I would appreciate any insight and or solutions for this
