KODAK Solar Off-Grid Inverter 6.2kW 48V - AC Output 1 and Output 2 configuration and use
Good day. I am busy with a installation with non essential loads connected to output 2. According to the description in the manual setting 60 ,61 and 62 are supposed to control output 2. But this does not happen. Output 2 is on when grid is available and off when grid is not available. If I switch off the grid it does not switch on when battery is above the set value in setting 60 or 13. I want use it for a 2kW geyser element that must be on when battery is above 90% and off when below 85% for instance. I programmed setting 60 to 85% and 61 and 62 on default setting(no timers). This does not seem to control the output. I supposed that setting 13 is when it should switch on again so I adjusted it to 95%. Can anybody give me more clarity on the working principle of output 2?

Axpert VM III 5Kw uses the battery for no reason.
Hello everybody. I have done two installations with kodak OG PLUS 5.48 and FL5.2 battery combinations and have the same issue with both installations. Only difference is that it discharge to 95%. No utility is available except when the generator is started. When battery reaches 100% the solar charger switches off and output uses battery power instead of solar until the battery drops to 95%, then it switches back to solar again and repeats the process. I used PYL for battery setting. I tested it on all three output source priority settings with utility disconnected and it behaves the same. Asked the suppliers for assistance but did not get any clarity on this. I am concerned that this cycling between 95% and 100%, several times per hour, could have a influence on the battery life as this is both off grid installations. Panel configuration is as follow: 2S4P Canadian solar 335w. Sounds like there are no solution to this issue... Quote

Kodak FL5.2
Hi Can you maybe give me advice on these inverter battery combinations? I have done two kodak OG PLUS 5.48 and FL5.2 battery combinations and have an issue with both installations. When battery reaches 100% the solar charger switches off and output uses battery power instead of solar until the battery drops to 95%, then it switches back to solar again and repeats the process. Is this normal for the king inverters to behave like this, or is it only on this battery combination? I also used PYL for battery setting. Did you notice the solar charging behavior on any of your installations at 100% battery soc?

Kodak OG-Plus 5.48 (King) not using Solar for loads
Hi Coulomb. Do you know if this is a common issue on the axpert king 5kW inverters (not using solar power correctly, when the battery is 100%). So there are no solution that you know of to resolve this issue? Do you think that the kodak might be a clone?

Hi. Yes. The battery BMS connection is working(battery icon flashing). Kodak is still trying to resolve this issue. Will update as soon as there is any progress.

Kodak OG-Plus 5.48 (King) not using Solar for loads
Thank you for the help. It is only when my battery is 100% charged that the inverter does not provide solar to the load for short periods, even when solar power is available. Might be the firmware... I am on 72.00 and U2 is 2.70, not 2.66 as posted earlier.

Kodak OG-Plus 5.48 (King) not using Solar for loads
Tried it on SBU SLB UCB, but does exactly the same. Seems that it keeps on using solar as output source at 100% battery, as long as the load is high(it was at 1.6kW), but as soon as the load dropped to 260W it switched the solar off again on 100% charged battery.

Problem with SBU setting is that it will not use the utility when the generator is on, until battery reaches setpoint 12. It must always use the generator power when available.

Kodak OG-Plus 5.48 (King) not using Solar for loads
Hi. I have not. I want it to work as follows: Solar panels must power the loads if available and charge batteries. When solar power is not enough it must use battery and solar power. My generator starts automatically when battery power drops below 20%(controlled by Victron bmv). The utility(generator) must then power the loads together with available solar power and charge the battery until full. So it should be on USB or SUB. The installation worked fine with my old mks inverter and lead crystal batteries. I will try setting 2 on SUB and 16 on SLB UCB for interest sake to see if it makes any difference. It seems as if the inverter can not supply solar energy directly to output as stated on the manual?

Kodak OG-Plus 5.48 (King) not using Solar for loads
This inverter is used off-grid so there is no utility power available. I only use a generator to charge the batteries if needed. I had setting 16 on SLb UCb and had seting 2 on USB. It makes no difference. Switches the solar source off and use battery power as soon as the battery is fully charged.

Kodak OG-Plus 5.48 (King) not using Solar for loads
Hi. I recently bought a Kodak OG plus 5.48(king)with Kodak FL5.2 battery. The inverter only uses solar as output source priority until the battery is fully charged. It switches off the solar source and start using the battery until the SOC reaches +_ 95%. It then switch back to solar and repeat the process. Tried to reset, but no change. U1 is 72.00 and U2 is 2.66. Setting 2 is SUB. Battery setting is PYL. Panel configuration is 2s4p(335W). Any solution to this problem?
