  2. Hi. Does anyone have Axpert inverter settings for BlueNova Lithium battery? I have 2 Axperts and a 52V Cell. I am having a problem with battery kicking off due to voltage too high. This is when the battery is around 97% and 54V. Inverters, BVM, BlueNova all showing same voltage +-0.2v.
  3. I have 6 x New (2 month old) OPZV2-490 2V Cells for sale. Also available: 19 x second hand (24 months old) OPZV2-490 Rack for 24 x OPZV2-490 and connecting bars etc. Make me an offer. Andrew 082655549 / [email protected]

what i like is the fact that they are local. in my mind this will help for support and also warranty repair transport costs (should it be necessary)

Hi All, interested to hear your experience if you are using Bluenova Lithium cells (especially if you have used for considerable time). I have had bad experiences with AGM cells and then VRLA cells. i am considering going to Bluenova in the hopes that it will be a reliable solution for a long time. Any comments would be appreciated.
  7. thank you all for your feedback!
  8. Hi, I am mostly off grid (or at least should be). At the moment i have 490AH @ 48V. I started with AGM cells. They failed after a year and then decided to change to VRLA's. The specs of the VRLA's indicated that for my usage i could expect 16 years. I did not expect 16 years but did expect them to last a few years. After a year I already started getting failures. The supplier does not seem to be interested despite all of the information I gave them. I am considering going Lithium and i wanted to ask others about their experiences with Lithium? I have spent a lot on batteries and i dont want to spend more and end up in same situation in a years time. if you are using Lithium; how is your experience and how long have you been running on them? Will they be the final solution to my problems?
  9. I have Ritar OPZv2-490's. Based on my use and the specifications they should last 16 years. I have had failures after a year. So far i have replaced 5 cells.
  10. Hi Pilotfish, thanks for the detailed breakdown. I am not keen on having parallel strings again. The OPz look good apart from the price. I was wondering about the Trojan L16 435AH. Would work out to approx 45k based on online prices. The mantech price on OPz is ex VAT from what i could see.... so would be looking at R73k
  11. Great - thank you
  12. Thanks Chris. Any luck with price on Trojans? I was looking at the OPzV2 as well but after some online price calculations it looks like it will be significantly more expensive option. probably better to go for the cheaper option now and then hopefully prices will drop and specs will improve by time i need to replace.
  13. I see in your image that you have used bars to connect batteries. Did you buy these or have them manufactured?
  14. Hi. Thank you for the detailed response! I am using system in very similar way - also 1 day autonomy. And all off grid excluding Geysar, oven. Pool pump is on but i usually change over to mains if cloudy. At the moment I am considering the batteries that you are using and Trojans. what are your thoughts between the 2 options?
