Good Morning. Ok so now I am back to trying to build my own generator. It seems money spent on complete turbines has not treated me well. In the pictures you see what I have and what I have tried. Brief description I bought this pmg which turned out a synchronous, me being dumb with electricity did not understand it need a set rpm. Anyway, I bought an old Opel record diff. It has gear up of 1 to 2 then I got harvester gears to try getting the speed on motor as close as 1000 rpm. The blades are 200l drums cut in half. It works well but never generated anything as it is not a constant rpm. I see with some add-ons it can be converted to variable speed. Idea was as long as 50hz I could install on my axpert king inverter 5kw directly. Now the question really is, looking at what I have can I do it or should I just start from scratch? Hope this time I can get it right. Thanks in advance.

Omg. I thought upgrading the cheapo to 800w SA bought 800 w was a good idea. It seems I am just a sucker. Next question. How do I get any use out of this turbine? I have it 2.5m above roof, I can move it anywhere on property not much in way of wind. All I really wanted to do is get charge at night, where I live, seems wind starts here, we have maybe 2 weeks of no wind in a year, I feel so deflated.

Hi there. The blades were 900mm long, put together 1.4m odd this is when 2 blades on ground and 1 is upward, measured from ground to top of upward blade. Turbine itself is 1.2m long. I am not sure of weight I think it was 28kg. The controller is an after market controller that is supposed to operate between 0 to 1500w. Black controller was controller that came with turbine, never kicks in to charge mode. 3 wires were soldered to lead that comes to controller, I doubt there is any kind of connection issue. Orange controller seems to break the turbine all the time, if I replace with standard one it just spins freely.

Good day all. I installed a 800w turbine. It connects to 100ah probe lifepo4 I have the controller that comes with the turbine. Will attach pic. When I use this controller the turbine runs nicely but it gives no charge. I have another mars rock 0 - 1500w mppt controller. When I use this controller it seems to only brake the turbine. It barely moves. I would prefer to use the mars rock controller but I think the setup might be wrong, and this is what I am needing assistance with please. Good day all. Installed above inverter. 2 questions. 1. What is correct South African server for shine app? 2. Time keeps kicking back to 15.00 even if i set it to 09.00 I assume because i set the shine info to US SERVER it auto sets time to there. I can not get app to connect to datalogger. Blue light flickers but it just wont connect. My assumption is because the server info might be incorrect, the time difference is causing havoc. I hope this is correct and with the correct server detail the problem will be solved. Thank you in advance.

I did a factory reset. Seems to be charging again. Coulomb would it be best to do your patch? I have had no issues with inverter up to now.

I notice. It just stops charging, does not need high load to stop. Works 5 minutes maybe 10 then cuts solar to 36w.

I found your patch. I did notice you say if wrong machine it can render it useless. I am such a dummy with this kand off thing, now i am scared to try it. Attached is a screen shot of my watch power. Please tell me if i can use the patch? Then please explain to me how i go about doing it if i can. Thank you in advance.

Thx for feedback. It does not turn back on. I have to reset the inverter to get it back on charge. Now if you can assist me with how do i get into the firmware? Inverter not connected to pc. Where will i find the software? Assume once i have that i will be able to update the firmware? Start searching i suppose.

Good day people. Hope you can assist me. Axpert king 5kw inverter. 6x old 285w panels 2 x new 480w panels 2 x 50ah lifepo4 batteries. As of recent. As soon as i use my water pump, it seems solar disconnects. I have no idea where to start, or what to do. I am a complete dumb ass with this. System is 3 years old accept the new panels.

Probe group does max li batteries. https://www.probegroup.co.za/probe-lifepo4-range-is-a-game-changer-for-solar/ I have 2 canbus cables. 1 says cambus H. 4 wires, white, orange, brown and white/orange. The batteries have rs485 and rs232 port on front. Probe just gives no feed back when asked for info.

Good day Gents/Ladies I am new to the forum but have read a lot on it. I am in desperate need of the bms cable setup for above. Probe that supplies the batteries just do not communicate the info from their side so that a person can make up a cable. Everything seemed to work ok until i added a wind turbine recently. Now nothing gives me the correct state of the batteries. Not even the watchpower app. I have 2 x 50ah batteries. I have turbine connected to main battery on bottom of rack, leads feeding from slave/top battery to the inverter. I just think that if i can get inverter to communicate with batteries many if my problems will be gone. Has anyone got a suggestion please.
