Hi Everyone.
First time poster. I have been running my 5kva Deye Inverter with 5kva shoto battery for 65 days now, integrated into my HA from day 1, and very happy with the setup. I am now down to requiring no more than 2kwh from Eskom, on a sunny day.
My question is, how do I limit the load taken by the battery during its charge up cycle? I need about 300w per hour to run my home in idle state, which I feel my panels will sufficiently supply, along with charging my battery to 100%. But at the moment all of my solar production is used by the battery until it is full charged, which is usually by 11 am.
The odd thing is though, for 1 hour, 8am to 9am, exactly all that I described above happen. My solar production is shared between charging the battery and supplying my house load, so that I need 0 from Eskom, but clock strike 9am and the full supply is taken by the battery, until 100% SOC.
Anyone have any experience?
