So i took it to Nice in Observatory, they were super helpful, stuck the board in a dummy motor and it worked fine. They then asked me if i was testing the gate with the board outside the black housing, which i was. This was the cause of all my issues as there is a sensor in the black housing and another on the board. They need to pick each other up so the board knows the gate is connected. If its not it goes into error mode.
 
Came home, screwed the board down, and all is working. Inching mode is set to 1 sec, which seems to work better than 0.5 for me. All works great. 

I understand that they specifically roll out the Sienna Enlight meters to cater for solar installs.  You'll likely find that when your approval is complete, they will require you to replace the existing meter with one.  I don't know if there is a cost, but I would push for that.
The Enlight doesn't care about reverse flow - it simply charges you for everything you feed back.  They claim it doesn't allow feed back, but if you go look at the meter settings, it has no llimits configured to block feedback - you can theoretically push back 63A permanently.  You'll just need to be ready to pay for it .

I am willing to bet good money your problems are caused by reverse flow. I see the Siemens meters have SRE: Significant Reverse Flow detection that is seen as tampering by the meter.

Sorry @Walnut, welcome to the Solar "rabbit hole". I'm also experiencing the same with my meter now showing "bypass". My utility has so far said as long as the "contactor" is not open, you shouldn't worry about it, only issue is that you may also experience an increase in usage from the grid because of the error on your meter. What error do you get? Apparently on my side the issue is related to the meter being installed incorrectly, resulting in the earth and grounding being shared or mixed somewhere and unfortunately, your electrician cannot "tamper" with the utility meter. As for the upcoming holidays I don't anticipate you losing power, but hopefully other forumites can also chime in.
