  1. Agree, I think it has something to do with the way the "old" Efergy units read, and also the voltage in ZA is not so stable it fluctuates so much
  2. Test did not work, I'm suspecting back feed through the CoJ meter?
  3. More frugal, and two less people in the house. I need to go through all my COJ bills again
  4. Sorry to bump an old post. Try this, under setting set your voltage to 1 I'm currently running a test and now the Engage reading is matching the reading from the inverter, almost
  5. 4x 550 panels and 1x 5kWh battery. Still new to all this

  7. 2022 vs 2024 (skipped 2023 due to load shedding, as there was less load shedding) Despite the tariff and rate increases. I'm managed to avoid grid consumption and bring grid reliance right down. Next steps, investigate going pre-paid and adding more panels and battery to the system.

  9. and then comes the weekend... home service making up for the savings and I've turned off the geyser and pool
  10. Correct very little grid usage, why I now run my pool pump from 2 hours after sunrise to 4 hours before sunrise, and then let the geyser run until sunset. Still tweaking the rest of the house

  15. Been adjusted since last post, now running in max savings mode, and fitted timers to pool and geyser yesterday to make the most of the available battery and solar production.
  16. Have you checked for any leaks on the hot water line? May sound odd, but I had a leak under the floor in the bathroom, this caused my geyser to run more than often.

  19. Hi All, Not really "new" to solar, but I now have installed at how (been up and running since Thursday), yesterday being the first true test with washing, ironing etc. and happy to see consumption almost halved, and the weather was pretty meh yesterday as well Looking forward to the journey.
  20. Have the same issue with new install. Efergy is showing 0.59kW while system is showing -0.01kW. I've put it down to issues with the Efergy unit :)
