AMalakani got a reaction from shakeel ahmad in Sorotec REVO VM II Pro 3.5Kw/5.5Kw firmware
    Hi,
I got this firmware (50.81) from Sorotec for REVO VM II Pro 3.5 and 5.5Kw inverters and I think it may be useful for someone.
The changes include reducing the PV normal operating voltage from 120 to 60 volts; adding a Lithium battery in battery type and other settings that I didn't get the chance to go through.
    VMII-PRO-05150-08-S1-1.hex
  2. Thanks

The firmware tested on sorotec vm II pro 3.5 and 5.5Kw, if you don't have the same inverter don't try it.
  3. Thanks
AMalakani got a reaction from Coulomb in Latest firmware version for Axpert VMIII 4K twin
As far as I know, Renovo is a well known reseller of voltronic inverters in the Syrian market, I suggest reading @coulomb previous post to have more information about clone inverters.

Each brand name of voltronic inverters has a different firmware version with slightly different features. I recommend going through this post so you understand the concept
Collection of DSP Axpert Firmware for VM III TWIN and VM IV TWIN
If your inverters are not clowns, you can use any available version for the specific models, and please note that the latest firmware for Axpert VM III 4k,6K Twin which was released for TribleA brand is 60.10.

AMalakani reacted to Coulomb in help me problem calibration battery voltage
The calibration commands are all the same for all Axperts, apart from the smallest ones.
  7. Thanks
It looks genuine to me; I've seen that brand before.
I've finally tracked down what causes that CHG LED to misbehave. If you have display firmware version 25.xx, it is expecting the flag that says that float stage is reached in a three-digit field right at the end of the QPIGS command. All three 60.xx firmwares that I've looked at simply don't send this field. It's a wonder that the LED works at all.
So for now, we know that we can't rely on that LED to tell us whether the inverter is in the float stage; this is most unfortunate.
I see your battery voltage flattening out at 54.9 V, which I assumed was your bulk voltage setting, but in fact it's your float voltage setting. Exactly as if the premature float bug was in effect. So I'll have to go back and check my work.
Thanks for being patient and answering all my questions.

    Finally, my account works.
I've tried the 60.95, the fans become so quiet and SLOW with minor speed changes when charging and on higher load; due to the hot weather now in Syria, I've checked the fans and the blown air is so hot and I didn't feel it's fine. I flashed back the 60.89, the fans speed is a little bit higher but it's more reasnoble in hot climate places and speed change is noticable.

  9. Haha
I'd highly recommend you to disconnect your BMS immediately and use manual charging settings instead for a while, just to make sure as soon as possible that your inverter and battery cells are all good! At least, this way you can have more time to diagnose and discuss/negotiate with your seller.
And this way, I think you might rule out the earlier incidents you had with your inverter.
I'm sorry, it's not personal at all. it's just for the sake of the community's security. Though, I'm still planning to test it personally, and will let you know for sure if fans are slower than with version 60.95
Wings, huh? I totally understand since I've seen examples of their marketing! Unfortunately, it's common here for reseller companies to be out of the field!!!
  10. Thanks
You can update the firmware with both AC and Battery connected, just completely turn off the solar power and the loads.
The update time is about 6 to 8 minutes for each (DSP and MCU)

No problem, your replies are so appreciated at any time.
Just concerned if any major updates are compared with the previous ones, except the new two programs 42 and 43.
Btw, this 60.10 firmware doesn't have the low-speed fan feature.
Yes, maybe it is something related to the alarms on the power meter, but the point is what those numbers are. Is it Volts or Amperes or seconds or just a value indicator?
In program 42 when the grid is on, the upper number change to 8 and sometimes to 5 or 2 (as I observed) and 0 on the bottom which is adjustable with the mentioned values in the user manual.
Does the VM VI with the round display has icons for those alerts?
  12. Thanks
For curiosity, I flashed the 60.10 firmware with MCU 12.15 to my Axpert VM III Twin. Two new programs were added, 42 and 43 which I asked Voltronic about them and their response was:
Prog. 42 & 43 are used for below meter alarms. Prog. 42 for “Earth alarm” and Prog. 43 is for “Reverse alarm”.
And what mentioned in the updated user manual for VM III Twin about the two programs is:

I'm trying to understand the concept, so is there any thoughts?
  13. Thanks
For reference, here are the changes in the firmware 60.10 as replyed by voltronic
The firmware upgrade is to optimize the inverter not to trigger over temperature alarm easily and we also added Prog.42 & 43 for supporting calibration of current detection.
    I didn't understand what are programs 42 & 43 for. 🥴

I contact them by email [email protected] and one of the concerned persons will contact you.
Email them with a photo of your inverter's serial number and they will contact you in a couble of days.
    It's just my conclusions.

Now this is a really good fix which was needed.
I entered to post it 😄, I recieved the same link yesterday from Voltronic based on the serial number of my device and I really get confused. I'm waiting their reply regarding the fixes in firmware 60.10 and and remote panel 25.15.
Maybe the defferences in firmware version numbers are based on the reseler brand names (mine is TribleA with factory firmware 60.08)
For the other brands there are different ftp folders based on the first letter of the brand name.
@Coulomb I do really appreciate if you can have time to look at formware 60.10 before I update my inverter.

Correct, it's the same, but the grid power in my area is not available all the time, so if there's a limited time of grid power at evening, CSO (Solar first) will keep charging the battery from PV with a very low watt at sunset time and won't switch to grid till the PV is 0v, and at that time the grid will be out.
This is the reason of using only SNU and OSO.
If you ask me "Why you don't keep it on SNU all the time?"
My answer is "To cut down the power bill" 😁
It is a combination of resource management, available capabilities and equipment used. 🤓
  17. Thanks
i have check and adjusted the 42 an 43 settings, basically without these setting inverter during day time when solar is avaialbe inverter  turn on the Earth and Reverse light in utility meter, its not feeding the electricity to the grid still its TURN ON the Led of reverse and on utility meter , i have adjusted both these setting now the LED is off , its good feature indeed!

as I can see they shared FTP link so you can explore other folders , and I found many interesting things such as a firmware with 60.10 dated june-2024 (in the file meta data ) , according to @Mohammad Jawish they told him that it is the last official version !

Big thanks to @Mohammad Jawish for sharing the link with us

    Thanks for your reply

I upgrade my inverter to the mentioned version
    The twin problem not solved
I faced other problem after the update
Max charging current reduced to 10amp
I tried to modify it many times but it return to 10amp after battery fully charged and not goes up again.

The voltronicpower.com replied to my question about twin problem and send me a special version @Coulomb

    Dear Mohammad,

    Thanks for your e-mail.

The PV energy is not stable, if the 2nd output is turned ON too fast then the 2nd output may be ON/OFF frequently when the PV energy is not stable. We have one special version of Main CPU firmware to turn ON the 2nd output when the inverter backs to AC mode for more than 1 min. Please upgrade the firmware to check if it could comply your request.

Since this is the customized firmware and the firmware version is different.

If you want to recover the main CPU firmware back to mass production version, you could also get the firmware 60.10 through below link.

I used it for four months now, and till now it works fine, no charging from grid during the day (OSO from 7:00am to 6:00 pm).
  24. Haha
"I was going to say that in my last post" 😆
Yes I have to change the schedule in winter to meet the sunset and sunrise times.
