1. I Have three breakers one for the bank, one for the PV and one for the DC load. 2. The controller is rated at 30A , my led's are all DC 12v. 3. I bought the 3 way switches sothat i can separate my DC lights from my AC lights, i think it makes sense for me to use either DC or AC at a flick on a switch. 4. I have attached the pic of the bar. 5. My LED's do not have a driver they are fed 12v direct

I currently have five 12v 4w downlights LED's mounted but only are connected to the load on the controller in series, i have two in the sitting area and one in the passageway, now i want to introduce L4 and L5 onto the circuit but it is giving me headaches, i thought of introducing a bar both on the P+ and N- side sothat the path is shared but controlled by switches on the wall. I bought 3 way switches which i use for both DC and AC lights. I made a rough sketch of what i think might work, the first sketch is for L1, L2 and L3, and the bottom sketch is when L4 and L5 have been introduced with the implementation of bars. Do you think this will work?

I have 2 x 100Ah batteries in parallel, the controller is non branded chinese SCM12/24v 30A with input 18-90v.

Thanks Phil, what happens if i step down the series input voltage to something maybe 80v?

I am interested in getting two of these Canadian Solar 400W Super High Power Poly PERC HiKU and connect them in series to get 90+ voltage but i see that the open circuit voltage is 47.2 V on the datasheet, my controller has max input of 90v, my questions are as follows: Will it do harm if i exceed max voltage by 5v when i have these in series? Will it be better to connect them in parallel for more Amps?

New arrival on the forum, name is Sibusiso, i hoping to learn a lot on this forum, i have been lurking for a while and decided its time to join. I have a very small setup: 12v 500w Inveter, 2 x 100Ah batteries, 1 x max 90v 30A 12/24 MPPT controller and 1 x 100w Mono panel running 12 x 4w downlights, Wifi router, DSTV, PC and PC speaker system. My Panel is pole mounted facing NW, i start to catch sunrays from 6:30 - 17:30, i am thinking this will change once i roof mount when i add more panels. I have lots and lots and lots of questions.😎
