  1. Item Wanted: Canadian solar 325W Poly (CS6U-P) Packaging Essential: Not if I collect Desired Age: Any Location: Cape Town Willing to accept a shipped item: Yes Ballpark/Budget Amount: R1000 Long shot, but will be great to add to my existing panel.
  2. Just had a fan go on my Axpert 1KW and did the same thing as a kiss fix. Graph before 06h00 is no load with remaining fan running, after 08h30 is with load and the addition of a single pc case fan. 😁
  3. Same problem here. Wish there was a way to turn the fans off. Obviously a 12v firmware bug. 🙄
  4. New Eskom pricing can crush solar in South Africa What else from an inept incumbent.
  5. Axpert Program 01 Conscious of battery life and would like to max solar energy use when available without depleting batteries. Solar first & SBU, not ideal as battery used after solar energy too low until V reaches low level, triggering utility power. What would be ideal is to monitor PV output vs load W and then switch based on: PV A sufficient to service load, or battery discharge A is 0, or PV W > Output apparent power = Solar first PV A insufficient to service load, or battery discharge A is > 0, or PV W < Output apparent power = Utility first Not sure if there is any freeware that can do this?
  6. Thanks for replying. Noticed that it shuts up once the PV is generating power.
  7. Small setup, 1kw Apex 12v , 2 x 104ah Deltec batteries. Used to power security lights (leds) and internet access during blackouts. Still need to connect the solar panel (Canadian Solar Panel 325W; 45.5Voc) Inverter fans run continuously, even in utility bypass mode. Only stop when room temp drops. My config attached. Assume correct (?) Thanks.

I have the 1kw model. The fans run almost all the time the moment a load is connected (100w), even when in utility bypass mode (running off eskom). They have stopped briefly when the temp drops and it's colder. Seems pointless having the fans run when the unit is in bypass mode. Thinking about installing a relay to switch the load on and off with a power failure (ideally what the ups should do) to shut the fans up.
