Thanks Steve. I believe you are correct. The extra panels are to cover winter season as the we will need to charge 4 x us3000 batteries. So serial it is.

Looking at installing a goodwe 5048d-es with 20 x Canadian 410watt panels. Looking at the voltage I should be able to install max 24 panels, 12 panels per string. Any recommendations on going series vs parallel or a mix of series vs parallel. Note the roof has no shading throughout the day. Distance between the panels and the combiner box is around 30 meters.

Have 3 questions with regards to RCT-AXPERT 3K-48V inverter. 1. Does anyone know if RCT-AXPERT 3K-48V is compatible with pylontech us3000? I seem to find info stating us2000 compatibility only. 2. I assume that we can use ths inverter in backup mode with no panels? If this is correct are the changes made on the buttons on the inverter? 3. Does the inverter come with a monitoring tool to monitor battery and load usage? if not what are the options available. Looking forward to feedabck.

I installed in a 9u wall mount rack which I left on the floor and the batteries are sticking out. Just make sure the rack u get is 500mm plus. www.prefernet.co.za

I have just added solar panels to my goodwe and changed the mode. Since then when my batteries die the inverter does not use eskom for over an hour. I have to now set my mode to backup every evening to ensure I have enough power especially on cloudy days. Can some please advise ?

I have 2 x pylontech US3000 batteries. The goodwe inverter does not have this battery on the options. How do I set these batteries up to ensure that the correct voltages and amps are used.

I am looking for someone to install my goodwe inverter and 2 x batteries. Will use it as a ups until I can afford the solar panels. Can someone please recommend an installer? I am based im Centurion.
