    Hi
These were the settings received from the supplier. Basically 51.5 and 51.6. Forget about the SOC on the inverter/watchpower
With those settings the physical charge status lights on the batteries shows full
After day 3 and still no PV dips. By 1330 my batteries are fully charged ready to work throughout the night. So far very happy.

  2. Thanks
For what it may be worth, I have a single 2.4kWh Narada battery connected to a SOL-I-AX-5P inverter. Initially, total pv-freeze disaster.
I managed to tweak the inverter settings so that for the past month the pv panels remained connected and trust to achieve the delicate panel/inverter/battery relation soon – using only WatchPower data.

    Good Day
Well this will be my last input wrt the matter unless something change
Its been one week now with thew new Batteries. To date I have not experienced one PV dip or Freeze. This was with various loads being introduced from 200 Watt to 3500 Watt. Because of the constant PV supply all 3 batteries are now fully charged by 2 in the afternoons.
It might be premature but the constant PV dips and Freezes has not occurred since the new batteries.
All components stayed the same except the batteries. During all discussions the focus wrt PV Freeze and dips has mostly been towards the inverters.
I wonder if the focus was wrong or if I was just lucky that this issue seems to be resolved.
It should be a relatively easy test and would expect installers to trouble shoot this.
    Cheers Guys
    Have a great day

    Good Morning
Just some feedback. After a lengthy struggle, my previous Huawei  batteries was replaced by the Installer.
They were replaced by Narada 100ah 48v 4.8Kw Lithium Ion. (3 in parallel)
I was informed by the supplier and installer that my PV dip and PV freeze will not happen with these batteries.
It has only been two days but I can report the following:
I have not experienced a single PV dip during the last two days. Even when using the a 2200W Iron the PV supply stays constant. Doesn't matter what load I introduce (3800W max total)  the PV supply does not dip and stays constant. This is obviously a massive benefit in terms of PV supply during the day. Efficiency has increased dramatically.
It is to early to comment on the PV freeze but will definitely provide feedback.
I hope my excitement is not short lived but the initial results are really promising.
    Greetings

  5. Haha
Technically everyone has a experience with a BMS, your phone has one protecting it from becoming a fireball, unless you own a Samsung Note 7

    Hi Guys
Sad news. The new King inverter after working perfectly for a week today went into a PV at 12 o’clock. Sadly Im on holiday and have not manage to reset it remotely as I did with the Doesnt matter if i change bulk or other voltage panels show 125v but no watts to charge the batteries.
Im away for two weeks so needless to say the frustration level is through the roof.
I cannot understand that this problem exist and the suppliers cannot get it resolved.
Cheers guys. Just had to vent.

    Hi Guys
just a quick update. After a PV freeze on Friday i changed my bulk charge To 54.8V and float charge to 54.0V.
The system did not freeze for Saturday and Sunday. Will monitor in the coming week as well.
The pv dip momentarily still happens when load is added or taken away.
    Greetings

SnoopySniper reacted to Coulomb in Mecer/Axpert inverter Settings
No, the bulk/CV (really absorb) charging voltage (56.4 V) is too high. That's equivalent to 3.76 VPC; LiFePO₄ should never go over 3.6 VPC, and preferably not much over 3.55 VPC.
So I'd reduce the float voltage to say 53.0 V, and the bulk/CV/absorb setting to the manufacturer's figure of 53.5 V. For longer life, you could knock half a volt or more off both of those.
Edit: the inverter (and therefore also Watchpower) won't let you set the bulk/CV/absorb setting lower than the current float setting. Hence my suggestion to change the float voltage down first.
