Have a issue with same ac start circuit, inverter will come on, charge batter from solar, then as soon as ac circuit(inverter) is switched on, the inverter reboots(switches off and on the whole time)

Hi guys I have a old must inverter, has a rs485 port only, could only get a rs485 to usb conv, tried it with solarpower and watchpower(seems the name changed) only see some activity on solarpower when scanning, but no connection. Using win xp laptop, loaded drivers from chip manufacturer, others give errors and unsigned driver failure. Could there be a problem with the software, best i could test on inverter side is 11v odd on the A and B pins of the rs485. Must pv18 inverter

well lifted all my pannels to a nice angle, and running at 340v 16amps, and far so good, getting around 300v as early as 7am now, and still above 300v till 5pm, so would say from 9 to 4 i am getting 330 to 340v, and running whole house and pool pump from solar only.

Also Would this mean that if the inverter is rated 18A max solar supply, that the excess amps are lost, meaning all those extra pannels are basically for show...?

Yes, i also just saw that the inverter says max 450v and max amps 18, so changed it quickly before sunup. You never now what double max amps will do to the unit

Quick question With a 450volt inverter, 16 330watt pannels. Which is better 300volts 16 amps or 164volts 32amps?

Well they can all do 13.6 volts, after fully charged, and not discharging too much. Also it should only be for a month or 2. So not worried too much about life span. Busy saving.mony for lithiums. Seems like a 100ah lithium will run the house the whole night.

Hi Was just wondering, would it be ok to use a bank of calcium batteries with a bank of deep cycles, if the voltages are at full and discharge the same. Pro and cons?
