You should consider adding Pylontech to your batery list.

IcePick1957 got a reaction from Riaanh in GCSOLAR
@Riaanh Yep, I'm also in hurry with things......   My electronic components like voltage regulators, resistors, diodes and transistors etc  I order from my supplier for years now delivers it within 2 working days. So I'm used to quick delivery times and anything longer makes me "restless" .
But I'm giving them a try this Saturday, spending about R 12K...

Thanks for the input guys! 👍

IcePick1957 got a reaction from iiznh in Dead Battery??? Or Inverter Issue
@iiznh Yep, have watch a couple of videos from this same guy. Still cautious though. There are always risks involved as you won't know how the batteries will react under that extreme conditions. Specially from batteries that is not well known all over.  Still trying to find out who and where these OmniPower batteries are manufactured.

IcePick1957 got a reaction from Antonio de Sa in Small hybrid inverters .. how good are they?
It's the same when you are running from solar and battery during load shedding. It will start drawing extra power from the batteries if solar input is not enough to feed the load. On a good sunny day my solar panels carries all the load but when some clouds move in, it will draw power from the batteries. I only use Utility(Grid) from 17h00 till 08h00. (Night time only.) See below, screen shot from 10 minutes ago.

("What's this fridge doing in your Battery room? ...... Are there beers in? ..... No you silly, it's my batteries!   )
Yes you can, but too much of a hassle. I have installed a temperature controller in my "Solar Room" which controls 4 cooling fans on the batteries.
Temp setting is min 23 degrees C and max is 28. It's working like a bomb. (Designed it myself and made the circuit boards as well. Electronics is my hobby )

IcePick1957 got a reaction from Nexuss in Mecer inverter 1.2 kva suddenly loses charge
I have done that research but a bit cautious in doing so. These batteries I bought for R20K in 2019 and it was promised to me that if I keep them above 50% SOC, it will last for about 10 years. BUT, a big but, according to me, I take any advice from salemen with a "sak vol sout". Anyway, I don't know anyone that has been giving reviews of the OmniPower 120AH "Deep Cycle" batteries. In SA any battery will suffer a lot from EKSDOM problems.
I will have do some more research on any solution to run my system, without using my Gennie too much.
    Thanks...
