  1. Hi I Have 24 panels on my carport routhly @ 5 deg and added 1 clip to each panel at the point where I had the most stagnating water. If I have to guess it reduced the dust/mud/water mark about 50%. The clips were cheap as chips so any improvement was worth it for me. I actually ended up installing more panels on my house roof to make up for my losses ,especially during the winter months when the sun sits lower.

Will be fine as the constant rating for the pylontech cable is a 100A
  6. Yes I have fong kong inverters that doesn't support coms between the inverter and the pylontechs. Two and half years in and zero issues.Touch wood. It was a self install. Monitoring is done via a laptop and Multisibcontrol. I initially ran them at 53,2v and then later changed it to 52,5v max after some recommendations from the forum.

  16. I agree, I ended up installing additional panels on my house roof (angled) and haven't looked back.

  18. Hi Flat panels should give you some extra power during the day, mainly mid-day. Something to concider is that any moisture will just sit on the panels, most of my panels are mounted on a carport with about 5 deg slope and I always get a dust build up on the bottom edge of my panels wich needs to be washed of regularly. From my personel experience I would suggest to rather slope your pannels. I went as far as getting a few of these drainage clips to try and fix the problem. It works, but only so-so.

  20. This is ten to one a third party using their website.(online store only item)Real chancers if you ask me. I see this on the Leroy Merlin , Takealot and other sites as-well.
  21. I saw these clips on AliExpress, suppose to help with standing water on your solar panels if they are installed fairly flat. Has anyone tried this or anything like it. Whats your thoughts? I ordered a few to try in anyway and should get it I think by November.

  23. Might be better to run your cables to a bus bar, then through a battery disconnect fuse and from there proper sized cable to your inverter. Can't really comment without pictures to know what you have.
  24. That sounds right.
  25. Hi Matt Welcome to the forum. I came across this calculator that might help you.https://photovoltaic-software.com/solar-tools/voltage-drop-calculator-dc-ac You are correct ,the shed would be a better option cause shading on solar panels is a big no no.

Hi Rudbot. I suggest posting a picture of your setup so that the people can see what cables you have plugged in where and what battery you have.Mecer or pylontech.?
  30. Hi MotVisagie. You are correct.40A breaker will limit your system. Provided the correct cable is used you should be able to go with the standard 63A breaker. I,m no electrician so please verify this.
