willietes reacted to Buyeye in Battery use for best longevityThat is vague terrible advice. Why once a week? Why 50%?
Guys you have to actually read before commenting. It's a lithium battery you can cycle it everyday down to 80%(I mean you can use 80% with 20% remaining)and still get minimum 6000 cycles.
Cycling it everyday will give an idea of how far you are from self sufficient, you could be 2 batteries from self sufficient depending on your load in the evening.

willietes got a reaction from Tsa in Growatt Data MissingOk Sooo….
I left mine on and at about 11am I got an error 500 pop up and then the Logger was offline.
Bottom line - even though their server is contactable the service taking the logs are not handling it.
So I recon its a server service issue

willietes got a reaction from Tsa in Growatt Data MissingHi All
I am not the only one it seems. Mine logs perfectly yesterday but today it started again. It stops at about 9am and then starts at 4:30pm
I thought is was PV so I shutdown the inverter restarted it with PV switched of and still... no dice. I also went as far as to install PVkeeper and check if it is a USB issue
and it works perfect. Plug the wifi unit in, and no dice. Tonight its running again.
I do have a few suspicions
Network service not running on their servers Day for us night for them
Internet service provider issues Problems related to international connectivity.
Next to me running a network analyser and capturing network packets (of which I have none of the hardware available atm)

I started having those same questions and here is a link to a discussion I started regarding the Dyness batteries.

willietes got a reaction from Tsa in Growatt Inverter + Pylontech Batteries : BMS Comms GuideOK Good News.
I finally got my BMS coms to work to my battery.
It turns out that two pins need to be shorted on the battery side to make the cable work!
Pin 7 and Pin 6 needs to be shorted going towards the battery side.
The 1 - 3 and 2 - 1 still applies.
I have got to give Andy all the credit and his help has really been key in me getting this problem solved and thanks for the top class service I have received from you.
Not every day the owner himself goes to great lengths to get his product to work !
Tip of the hat to you my good sir !
