  3. Aah OK, I thought there was a special trick. I have already enabled ESS and have it set to keep batteries charged while waiting for my panels. Will play with it some more when panels are installed. Thanks!
  4. How did you sort it? I have the same setup, MP2 with ET112 meter and am about to add panels with a 150/45 MPPT so in case I run into the same issue. Thnx.

  6. Just be careful with panels, what you get today, you will not get tomorrow. Panels are changing all the time with new spec panels coming out almost every day. You will be lucky to get the same panels in 6 months, never mind 2 years or longer down the line.

  8. There is no cost to the SSEG application itself, however, the requirements to complete the SSEG include engineer approvals, diagrams, component specs, etc. which require time and effort. Some installers may not have the capacity or inclination to do this on behalf of the client. At the end of the day the onus is on the client to ensure that it is done and will cost the client no matter who does it.
  9. Bump... Shipping included.
  10. Just about anywhere in CT, Lighting Warehouse, Eagle Lighting, even Builders. I've found that the Eurolux ones are reasonable quality. When running off inverter, some of the cheaper no-name brands tend to dip a bit for a millisecond or so when the fridge or any other high draw appliance kicks. Apparently to do with the inferior quality capacitors that they have inside them.
  11. This....as soon as possible!!! LED's are the way to go, I've replaced every globe in the house with LED, biggest draw from the largest is 9w, most of the others pull 3 or 5w, halogen's are minimum 50w some even more.
  12. Agree with @Steve87 and split the circuits. I wouldn't add the oven/stove circuit to the inverter, keep that on non-essential and only run when you have Eskom power... it will kill your battery and probably render prevent you from using much else while it is running. Another consideration is the passthrough capabilities of the Kodak. With some inverters, like Victron, you carry on as normal when you have Eskom power, with others, some of the Axpert types (not sure where Kodak fits into this continuum) you are permanently limited to your inverter capacity once you wire it in to your circuits, i.e. you always need to balance what you use so as not to exceed your inverter capacity (in your case 3KVa).
  13. @SPDreyer Sorry bud, it all went with the Multiplus as a package, all sold.
  14. 😃, I offered them as an incentive to entice someone to take the whole setup, so for now they are reserved for that purpose. If I end up selling the individual items separately then we can talk, I will keep you posted.
  15. Bump Will throw in a few Victron Energy promo items that I acquired recently. Can deliver to within a 10km radius of Panorama Clinic in Cape Town on 6th or 26th of April.
  16. Item: Solis-Mini-2000-4G grid-tied inverter Age: +- 3 years Price: R4000 Payment Method Accepted: EFT, instant EFT Warranty: Unknown Packaging: In original packaging Condition: Excellent Location: Vredenburg, West Coast Reason: Got it from a relative with the intention of connecting it on AC-Out of my Victron Multi-II without realising the battery limitations, I only have 1 x battery. Shipping: Buyers cost and risk. If in Cape Town, am travelling to CT and can arrange drop-off in Plattekloof area within next 2 weeks. Collection: Yes Am looking for a Victron Smartsolar 150/45 MPPT controller so will consider part swop for a newish MPPT.
