Leoch LFeLi-48100 (48Vdc, 100Ah) Not charging
Hi guys, Spent some time trying to get into the batteries. Tried RS485 after setting up a master battery with the dip switches. Could not connect with battery monitor as it was no liking the protocol I was importing? Tried 9600 baud rate as is shown on the batteries and the 19200 aswell. Tried going through the RS232 port with Pbm tools but no luck. Not sure if it was the converter but did check both had their drivers updated. Please see the link for the video. https://1drv.ms/v/s!ArowYICP5Aot-S5Blux_hMJ0m99X Many thanks for your help. S

Sunsynk 8kw with Generator Question
Hi Sc00bs, I seem to be having a similar strange issue. Commissioned the 5kVA system and ran fine for 2 days. Did a firmware update and then the inverter would not read frequency but would see voltage. Was told by Sunsynk to do a factory reset and then the frequency could be detected and read on the flow chart. The gen and grid supply are on the grid input only and are separated by a change over. There has been load shedding so trying to charge the batteries off the generator with very low charge current of 1-10A the inverter clicks in, starts charging and suddenly clicks out. I have widened to the max frequency and voltage but now seems like it just wont hold onto the gen supply. No wiring has been changes since it was working and i have a earth neutral bond in the main panel. Will see if the grid lets it charge well tonight without kicking out the supply.

Sunsynk 5KW has stopped charging from grid/generator after firmware update
Okay, i have done a factory reset on the inverter and now I can see the frequency. Trying to charge the batteries via a 5kVA generator on a change over switch as there is load shedding. The inverter accepts the power then the rely opens and kicks out the gen supply. Have lowered the charge current to 1A and seemed to hold and accept but still very unstable. Have also maxed out under and over voltage plus frequency. Will wait and see if grid comes back tonight and it behaves.

Sunsynk 5KW has stopped charging from grid/generator after firmware update
Hi all, Had the sunsynk inverter suddenly stop wanting to charge or let the grid through after a firmware update today. On the flow chart screen - you can see voltage and even the LED AC light illuminates but the internal relay never closes to allow power through. Strange thing is, you can no longer see frequency on the flow chart page which i assume is one of the qualifiers for the relay to close. Strange as the system worked find for 48hrs on grid and gen. The site gets bad voltage so is protected by a Soltek AVS which is happy long enough for the inverter to synchronize with the grid. Asking Synsynk to roll back FW and will update. Gen/grid charge is enabled. Time box is unchecked. Min grid draw is 80W Kind regards, S

Schneider Electric Insight Home has issues connecting to WIFI
I have recently brought a new Insight Home comsbox for a clients Schneider electric inverter setup and the unit is having a hard time detecting the WIFI extension router. I have tried two WIFI routers to no luck. I brought the Insight home to my office and it found and connected to the WIFI no problem. Not sure if it is frequency sensitive but even the LAN port will not work on the insight home. I can connect my phone to the extension routers no problem. Many thanks.

Leoch LFeLi-48100 (48Vdc, 100Ah) Not charging
Thanks Beat, I did suspect that these may be stolen being Leoch and seen some reports on RSA news outlets. I know the client and unfortunately time has gone by and the supplier is no longer around. I have given him a stern lecture on only buying from reputable companies however to find a silver lining I would like to get the system sorted out and would very much appreciate the manual and data sheet being sent on a PM. Thank you and Jumper for your time, it is much appreciated. Kind regards,

Leoch LFeLi-48100 (48Vdc, 100Ah) Not charging
Hi Jumper, Thanks for that. I am unable to find any manuals or literature yet on these batteries so am quite usure how to use them. I think it is a good idea to set up battery coms between all 4 units but am unsure of the dip switch configuration. I thought the battery BMS looked similar to the one seen in this youtube video where the guys gets coms to his PC via the RS232 port which needs an RJ12 connector. Do you think it is possible to use a RJ45 connector to a RS485 to USB converter on the Rs485A port? This would be ideal as i have this converter. I also downloaded the PbmsTools V2.5FN software and was hoping to connect up to the battery but i have no RS232 cable. If i was to get coms between the batteries would i use a normal ethernet patch cable from RS485 A to B, then A to B again up the stack>? Thanks again for the help, I don't have much experience with these batteries, only Pylon Tech and Blue Nova.

Leoch LFeLi-48100 (48Vdc, 100Ah) Not charging
Hi guys, Many thanks for the feedback. The battery is number 2 in the 4 battery stack. No data cables between battery packs. DC cables to inverter are at opposite ends. The customer has said that it was taken away by a previous company for repair but soon started playing up again. Please see the link for the video running through the BMS screen. May need to do a firmware update but besides that how does one acquire a new BMS system for these batteries? https://1drv.ms/v/s!ArowYICP5Aot90MRRY73pK7KUKir?e=64UwiI The coms to the inverter is just a nice to have as I am happy to keep it in voltage base for now. Kind regards,

Leoch LFeLi-48100 (48Vdc, 100Ah) Not charging
Hi All, I have a client that has had these Leoch batteries for a few years. There are 4 batteries in parallel feeding a Schneider conext XW+ inverter and 2 MPPTs. The problem is that out of the 4 batteries this one seems to not charge fully and displays only 1/4 LED SOC lights even though the rest of the batteries have 4/4 LED light on and the pack voltages are pretty much exactly the same voltage of 51V float. The problem is intermittent and seems sometimes charge all the way but am yet to do a discharge test. There is a red fault flashing light on unit but no error code displayed. All the individual cell voltages seem fine so not sure if it is the BMS? Also is anyone know how to set up comes with this to the inverter i would be very grateful. Many thanks

Morning Start Tripower 60A MPPT Transient Voltage Suppressor Replacement?
Hi Coulomb, Thanks for this I searched high and low and eventually emailed Morning Star and they got back to me in a few hours with the part number! D1-D3 SMCJ78CA Transorb, 1500W, Bi-Directional, 78V D10 D11 D13 SMCJ130A Transorb, 1500W, Uni-Directional, 130V Very nice of them! I removed the blown parts and the unit still powers up which is good, the TVSs must have done their job. Will replace then put it through operational tests.

Morning Start Tripower 60A MPPT Transient Voltage Suppressor Replacement?
Hi all, Have been given this Tristar after someone discarded it. Apparently they connected too many panels in series and the unit went pop. I have had a look inside and can see the 3 x TVSes have blown as per their function. I am trying to find replacement TVS but all is written on the TVSes that did not blow is "BGT 121" which I cant find a data sheet for online. I have manages to pick up some P6KE120A bi directional TVSes but not 100% sure I can interchange them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

AXPERT 5KVA ERROR CODES
Hi all, Have a RTC AXPERT 5K inverter that was given to me as it had stopped working. When I opened it up it looked like a gecko had shorted out the PCB. Please see attached pictures. I replaced the burnt IRGP4750D IGBTs and tried to clean up where I could, Reassembled the unit and it now turns on however it goes into a Fault 53 error code then shuts down. Anyone else have this same issue or have any advice? Many thanks
