EASun ISolar SM II 5kw - After restart different settings
No, I have a three inverter system (one for each phase). W1 to W3 are the values from the different inverters.

EASun ISolar SM II 5kw - After restart different settings
Thanks guys for your insights! The frequency change was the biggest problem, espacially as my USV for my IT rack was not accepting the "new" power and was running on battery until it shut down... So the question remains, what could cause this behaviour? It was a perfect sunny day batteries already fully loaded only a normal load connected inverter temperatures fine ... As you can see (Leistung = power, Spannung = voltage, Last = load): And how can I prevent this from happening again? Thanks!

EASun ISolar SM II 5kw - After restart different settings
Dear all, I had today an issue which caused my inverters to perform a restart while I was not at home (some clocks displayed the default 12:00 am). Everything was running fine despite my rollershutters. During trouble shooting I had to discover that the inverters changed from 50hz to 60hz after they restarted themselves. I can see in the log of my solar monitoring software. Is this a known issue and how can I prevent it, that after restart the settings are changed? Here everything was fine.... 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/modus -> B 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/devicestatus -> 3 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/warnungen -> 00000100000000000000000000000000 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/set_grid_rating_voltage -> 230.0 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/set_grid_rating_current -> 21.7 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/set_ac_output_rating_voltage -> 230.0 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/set_ac_output_rating_frequency -> 50.0 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/set_ac_output_rating_current -> 21.7 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/set_ac_output_rating_apparent_power -> 5000 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/set_ac_output_rating_active_power -> 5000 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/set_battery_rating_voltage -> 48.0 23.04. 12:16:17 MQT-solaranzeige/wr3/set_battery_re-charge_voltage -> 48.0 This was after the restart.... 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/modus -> S 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/devicestatus -> 2 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/warnungen -> 00000100000000000000000000000000 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/set_grid_rating_voltage -> 230.0 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/set_grid_rating_current -> 21.7 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/set_ac_output_rating_voltage -> 230.0 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/set_ac_output_rating_frequency -> 60.0 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/set_ac_output_rating_current -> 21.7 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/set_ac_output_rating_apparent_power -> 5000 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/set_ac_output_rating_active_power -> 5000 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/set_battery_rating_voltage -> 48.0 23.04. 12:17:08 MQT-solaranzeige/wr1/set_battery_re-charge_voltage -> 44.0 I just discovered, that it changed also the values for modus from SBU to SOL bat_recharge_voltage from 48.0 to 44.0 Thanks for your help!

Axpert MKS II firmware upgrade
@Coulomb I noticed that the own consumption dropped from ~ 125W for all 3 inverter to <100W. This based on the delta of the overall AC consumption of all three phases vs the total amount used out of the battery at night with no PV power. Have you spotted something in the code linked to this? Thx!

Axpert MKS II firmware upgrade
After 24 hours I can observe the following: my problematic inverter is now constantly >200W below his twin, who has the some sunny conditions. Before the software update it was just ~120W. So it seems the firmware update confirmed, that there is an issue with the inverter. I will replace it now with the new one to confirm.

Axpert MKS II firmware upgrade
Thank you very much! I've updated meanwhile all inverter and I can see no major difference so far. I had some issue with one of the inverter during bad light conditions (see my other post) but I need to wait for cloudy weather as at the moment the sun is shining all day 😄 I'll keep you updated, if I can spot something.

Axpert MKS II firmware upgrade
@Coulomb So, after the Chinese New Year break is over, I received today firmware 71.86P (see attachment). I'll need to wait until the weekend before I can update my inverter, but maybe you can have look to analyse the changes. Isolar SM II 5k-71.86P.rar

Axpert MKS II firmware - 71.82 - August 2020
@Jaco P Bloem There is a opensource solution for the rasp pi with Grafana available supporting most of the voltronic, axpert and co inverters (incl. the pylontech batteries), but it requires some German language skills: Solaranzeige

Axpert MKS II firmware upgrade
I received a brand new EASun ISolar SMII 5kw (equal to the PiP-5048MG and others), manufactored in Nov 2020. It's running on 71.85. As my other three are running on 71.70 I requested the firmware to integrate the new one into my setup.

EASun ISolar SM II 5kw - MPP tracker issue?
Thank you again. This was one of the first things the support from EASun proposed: disconnect the two other inverter and run it in single mode. So I did it: The performance was quite low. To check if it was due to bad weather conditions, I switched it off and started the second one in single mode. You can see that the performance was much better: So I will ask them definitly for a replacement. Let's see, so far I have no reason to complain about their service!

EASun ISolar SM II 5kw - MPP tracker issue?
Never expected that this could happen... May I assume, that in this case the faulty inverter has some kind of hardware issue and needs to be replaced? Best Regards

EASun ISolar SM II 5kw - MPP tracker issue?
Thank you for the fast reply @Coulomb! But I'm not so sure if this applies to me as well. I added a chart for the Batterie Voltage to be inline with the power and volatage readings. For me there is not so much difference between the three inverters (see below). FYI: I use 5x US2000 Batteries from Pylontech.

EASun ISolar SM II 5kw - MPP tracker issue?
Dear all, I own a system of three EASun ISolar SMII 5kw inverter (identical to MPP Solar PIP-5048MG and others) running in 3 Phase mode. Each of them is connected to 9 solar panels, 1 string to the west and 2 strings to the south. What I discover is, that espcially during cloudy dark winter days, one is producing much less power than the other two. All are running on the same software and to avoid issues with the solar panels, I swapped the both strings to the south but the behaviour remains the same. As you can see, the proplematic inverter is sticking to the 120V while the others ramp up to the optimal voltage around ~315V. On the picture below you can see: Top: after the swap, below before. Left power, right voltage. WR1 is connected to west string, WR2 and WR3 to the south strings. WR3 is the faulty one. And here you have the behaviour for full two days, but without a swap of the strings. I contacted already EASun and they are quite responive, but we still haven't found a solution yet. So I rely on your knowledge... Thank you!

Voltronic (and other) - protocol specification for parallel mode
Dear all, with Watchpower you are able to read out all data using a single usb connection to the master inverter. I'm looking for that protocol specification to include the feature into other open source monitoring tools. (Currently they require a usb connection to each inverter, which is quite unpleasent). In addition there is always some time delay between the readouts as they were collected inverter by inverter. I hope, you can help me. Thank you!
