  1. Good morning I haven't been on the site for a while. Sorry for the late reply. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://renewables.herholdts.co.za/product/sunsynk-8kw-hybrid-pv-inverter-48v-ip65/%3Fattachment_id%3D30321%26download_file%3D5eec7129d8f3f&ved=2ahUKEwjYl5SD27PuAhWLyKQKHSByDfIQFjAAegQIAxAB&usg=AOvVaw0TV0nsi_oYvbOOe7jQoqM9 Regards
  2. Thanks very much for your time and help Vassen!
  3. I agree with you. I have just downloaded a newer version of the instalation manual and it supports your shared knowledge. I have attached the screen shot.
  4. Yes the load side does have an earth leakage for the backup circuit and it does not trip. I spoke to the guys from Segen who are also selling the Sunsync now. They said the inverter has a built in earth neutral bond and that bonding is only recommended at one single point and that a permanent bond can cause impedance issues. For now I have replaced the main breaker and will be doing tests tomorrow to see if the floating voltage occurs without the permanent bond
  5. Yes. I have a permanent bridge between the earth and neutral on the load side
  6. Do you maybe think it can be the earth neutral bond causing a trip on the main supply?
  7. I don't have the relay installed, but I have a neutral earth bond on the backup/load supply inside the inverter. I consulted with the technical help from the importers on the earth neutral bond required.
  8. The system feeds a backup circuit with all the plugs and lights and also a grid tied circuit with the non essential loads with excess solar power when available as well as 40% of the battery bank. It appears that a software update has resolved the issue of the inverter swit hing off the main supply to the house. But I am currently trying to resolve a trip every now and then (intermittently) on the main supply breaker to house. This is also the point where my grid tied circuit connects to the grid, at the bottom of the CBI 63A main circuit breaker. I wonder if the main breaker trips because of the occasional backfeed from the inverter?
  9. Hi Vassen The setup includes the 8kW Sunsync hybrid inverter, 20 x 325Watt PV panels [10 panels per string] and 5 x 3.6kWh Dyness batteries. Will send some pics of the setup.
  10. Good day I am new to the forum but would appreciate it if someone could share some knowledge on a problem I am currently experiencing with a Sunsync 8kW hybrid installation. It appears as if the inverter switches off the main supply to the house. Every now and then the AC light on the inverter turns off and power supply to the grid tied circuit is off without the main main supply circuit breaker to the house being tripped? Is it possible that the inverter turns off the municipal smart meter for short periods? The installation is in Lynnwood Pretoria and there is probably a smart meter installed on the municipal side. Regards
