I'm piggybacking on this discussion - I'm thinking about installing the geyserwise ac/dc element with a relay and temperature controller instead of the geyserwise controller.
I have been unable to find a connection diagram or more info on the element, but I'm assuming I can connect the ac section of the element like a regular ac setup (controlled by the thermostat) but with a timer. My thinking is to set the dc temperature controller to 60-65 degrees and the thermostat to 50 degrees with the ac timer an hour or two before our usual shower time.
I recon the setup will cost around 9k, so worth the additional effort.
Does it seem like a workable solution? I will appreciate any thoughts on this.
