    Hi Forum, I need to add extra solar pv capacity to my existing system. Installed 14x325Wp panels in 2016. 2x strings of 8 and 6. As this Wp is not available anymore I was thinking to add a seperate mppt controller, with 3x500Wp, hooking it up to same BlueNova battery bank. Any comments or other suggestions please? thank you

    Hi guys, From the thread I understand the Sunsynk Can Bus cannot be used to read or write inverter data? Only via RS485 port. Is this correct?

    Yes, I have the same USB/RS485 running of another RPi. Using this with Sunsynk would mean losing battery comms. How do you handle battery comms if using RS485 for interface?

    Hi, also following this with great interest and thank you for all the information. When connecting to Sunsynk RS232 port, I need USB-to-Serial converter or is it purely just a cable wired for DB9 to USB? Thank you
